India's Test cricket is set to witness the start of a new era as Shubman Gill and co take on England in a five-match series, the first of which starts on June 20. The India National Cricket Team will be without three of its biggest names- Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravi Ashwin, all of whom retired from Test cricket and now, it is up to the youngsters to carry on their legacy in the longest format. Shubman Gill was appointed as the new Test captain of the India National Cricket Team, with Rishabh Pant as his deputy and he would face a stern Test in his first assignment as skipper of the national team in the longest format. England would be captained by Ben Stokes and in favourable conditions, they will eye a winning start as well. The IND vs ENG 1st Test 2025 is set to be played at Headingley, Leeds and it starts on June 20 at 3:30 PM IST (Indian Standard Time).
