00:00Seth, you were very ambitious this morning. Why? Is it because you didn't get what you wanted in the first few days?
00:07Yeah, first two days I didn't achieve what I wanted in the time trial and stage one.
00:15But I knew whenever the route was released a couple weeks ago, I said to my team stage four is mine.
00:21And I've had this stage kind of in my head for a long time in the sense that I could take it one of two ways.
00:28Either I could go up the road early or I could try to survive for a bunch sprint.
00:34And today the team, all the staff backed me on the team bus this morning.
00:39Everyone believed in me. That gave me more confidence today to try to stay in the front.
00:44And I couldn't have asked for more.
00:46Was the hardest to make the right breakaway with the fight that was at the beginning?
00:52The hardest was to make the breakaway?
00:54It was savage. I think I had near 320 watts for the first hour and a half trying to force a breakaway.
01:01Me and my teammate Brian were really trying our best.
01:04But I think the word of the week for our team is patience.
01:08And today I just needed a bit of patience and thankfully I could stay cool in the warm weather and wait for the right moment.
01:16Were you patient for the final sprint as well? How did you work it out?
01:20My head was split into a thousand pieces in the end. I was so nervous.
01:26Patrick from Little is an amazing sprinter.
01:29I knew there would be some sort of attack within the last 2k from the other guys that don't have such a sprint.
01:35So I was really... I didn't know what to do but the only thing I knew was that I had the legs to win. So that I knew.
01:42First year at .33 and it's your second victory. What does it mean?
01:48Oh it means a lot. You know this year I was kind of just looking to learn.
01:52And even the first victory came as a surprise. This at one of the biggest stages for under-23s comes even bigger surprise. So yeah, it's amazing. It's amazing.
02:04Congratulations.
02:05Thank you very much.
02:09Can you explain to us why the beginning of the stage was so fast?
02:13Because everyone wanted to be in a break. Even the GC guys wanted to be in a break. I don't know why.
02:21I don't know why.
02:22Were you looking at everyone? Was it difficult tactically to monitor every rider who was attacking?
02:28Yeah, of course. We are only with 5 guys. It's a bit difficult to control the race. So yeah, we were a bit frustrated in the beginning. But yeah, at the end, all good.
02:41Who from the GC riders did you see the most active ones?
02:45Yeah, not tired. It was quite a lot in the break. Yeah. Then Po Marti at the end, he's at three minutes. But last year he was third. So yeah, you take one minute back this year at this stage. So.
03:02Were you satisfied with who was in the decisive breakaway?
03:07Yeah, I think nobody important. Only Po Marti. But yeah, he was already on three minutes.
03:14Thank you very much. Lorenzo, how did you feel on the bike after the crash you had yesterday?
03:20Yeah, I had hoped for an easy stage looking at the profile. But yeah, it was hard all day. The breakaway never went. I mean, it took two hours for the break to go. I went super fast in the flat.
03:33Yeah, it was okay. Today was going to be the worst day for me after the crash. But it was okay.
03:40Did you notice that some GC riders were attacking early in the race?
03:46Yeah, I stayed at the back for the first hour because I was trying to get into the race. But yeah, I wasn't really worried. It was super fast.
03:56And yeah, they were probably not going to go anywhere. But then yeah, before the climb, I moved up and yeah, stayed at the front.
04:06How do you see tomorrow?
04:08Yeah, tomorrow is a big climb in the middle. Yeah, looking at how the race went today, it's going to be a hard day again. Like, I think a strong break will go on the climb. But you never know.
04:24Robin, number three today. Is it what you hoped for? Are you a little bit disappointed?
04:30Yes, for sure. I'm a little bit disappointed. I want the win and I finish another time on the podium. But I want to win.
04:39How was the sprint from your perspective?
04:41Yeah, it was an out sprint with a little corner. I was not really well after the different attack, the breakaway.
04:51We're far from the start. So yeah, it was really hard. And I did a pretty good pick, but not the one I want.
05:01You knew this morning that you could have this red jersey again. Are you happy with it?
05:07Yeah, for me, it's a goal. So yeah, I'm really happy to have the jersey. And then I want to have Sunday, to have it Sunday. So yeah, I'm really, really happy.
05:18Is this your main goal now? Because you didn't get the result you wanted yesterday?
05:23No, my main goal is to win one stage. We will see which one, but the goal of the week. And then the jersey is another goal. And I want to keep it.
05:36Thanks.
05:37Thanks.
05:38Thanks for that.
05:39Thanks.
05:40Thanks.
05:42Thanks.
05:44Thanks.
05:45Thanks.
05:46You
