US President Donald Trump has warned that the "gloves are off" as he declares that a ceasefire between Iran and Israel is "not enough".Speaking to media on board Air Force One, Trump stated: "We're not looking for a ceasefire, I didn't say I was looking for a ceasefire. That was Emmanuel [Macron]. Nice guy, but he doesn't get it right too often. "But what we're looking for is better than a ceasefire. We'll come down so hard if they do anything to our people. We'll come down so hard, then the gloves are off so beautifully. "We're looking for a real end, not a ceasefire. Something that would be permanent, giving up entirely. A complete give-up, that's possible."WATCH ABOVE.

00:00You just posted right before we took off that you're not leaving because of a ceasefire.
00:07Why are you? Can you elaborate?
00:09We're looking for better than a ceasefire.
00:11We're not looking for a ceasefire. I didn't say I was looking for a ceasefire.
00:14That was Emmanuel, nice guy, but he doesn't get it right too often.
00:19But we're looking for better than a ceasefire.
00:23That's just what you're looking to get into this morning.
00:25You're not going to let him call the U.S. in this moment.
00:27You can do anything more from Israel right now.
00:30Pretty well. We're doing pretty well.
00:34Remember, Iran cannot have any nuclear weapons. Very simple.
00:39You don't have to go too deep into it. They just can't have a nuclear weapon.
00:42What was the thinking on the call for Iran to evacuate?
00:46Is there a threat or is there incoming? What was the thinking on the call evacuation?
00:49I want people to be safe. And that's always possible.
00:54Anything like that could happen. I just want people to be safe.
00:57Is there any new concern about U.S. troops or assets in the region at all?
01:03Great people, they know how to protect themselves.
01:06And when you say better, what's the thing?
01:07Well, we'll come down so hard if they do anything to our people.
01:10We'll come down so hard and then the lumps are off so beautifully.
01:13No, I think they know not to touch our troops.
01:20Are you sending the vice?
01:22We're not troops.
01:24Do you plan to send the vice president and Steve Wyckoff?
01:28There's reports that you want to send the vice president and Steve Wyckoff to meet with the Iranians and have discussions.
01:33Is that something you're considering?
01:34Not sure yet.
01:35I may.
01:36Depends on what happens when I get back.
01:38What specifically is better than a ceasefire?
01:40What are you looking for here?
01:42An end.
01:44A real end, not a ceasefire.
01:46An end.
01:47So something that will be permanent.
01:48Yeah.
01:49Or giving up entirely.
01:52It's okay, too.
01:53Are you closer?
01:54Are you possible?
01:55Is that possible next 24?
01:56Why not?
01:57It's certainly impossible.
01:59Complete give up.
02:01That's possible.
02:02You know.
02:03Heavenly, has the chairman of the Joint Chiefs and the Secretary of Defense drawn up plans for you if Iran were to attack U.S. bases or do any damage to U.S. bases?
02:12I just can't do that.
02:13Just can't do that.
02:14Can I ask you, because there's been some skepticism, is there any guarantee that if the U.S. did get involved militarily that a U.S. bomb could destroy Iran's nuclear program and facilities?
02:25Do you think if the U.S. got involved militarily, it would actually wipe out Iran's nuclear program, or where's your assessment of that?
02:40I hope their program's going to be wiped out long before then.
02:44They're not going to have a nuclear weapon.
02:47What do you believe the Israelis are going to slow down, or are they going to hit the accelerator right now?
02:52We're going to see. You're going to find out over the next few days.
02:55You're going to find out.
02:56Has the gang of eight...
02:57Nobody's slowed up so far.
02:59Has the gang of eight been notified about what's coming in the next couple days?
03:03We'll be talking to them.
03:04What can you do?
03:05It's not necessary.
03:06What can you do in Washington that you couldn't do in Canada?
03:10Just be a little bit, I think, more well-versed.
03:15Not having to use telephones so much, because I don't believe in telephones.
03:19Because people like you listen to them.
03:22So, being on the scene is much better.
03:25And we did everything I had to do on the G7.
03:28We had a good G7.
03:29We signed the deal with the European Union.
03:33Phase one of a deal.
03:35But we signed the deal with the UK.
03:38And the UK is really great.
03:41We are very far down the line with a lot of deals.
03:45I mean, look, we're actually finished with every deal, if you really think about it.
03:49Because all I have to do is say, this is what you're going to do.
03:51But it's nice to be nice.
03:53Did Secretary Besant stay behind as your representative?
03:56So, that's Donald Trump speaking on Air Force One.
03:58He doesn't pull away from answering the questions, does he?
04:01No, and that's what's so great about him.
04:02I think he made a little mistake there.
04:04He talked about the British trade deal, not the European Union.
04:07There's no trade deal in the European Union, which he hates.
04:09But he's also saying Iran can have no nuclear weapon.
04:12It's not a ceasefire, it's got to be something permanent.
04:14So, how he achieves that remains to be seen.
04:18Absolutely.
04:20Okay.
