00:00South Australian police say they were called to a property at Gilberton in Adelaide's inner east after reports a woman had smashed a window and broken in on Monday evening.
00:12They say a 30 year old woman was behaving erratically at that property and was arrested.
00:16Not long after, ambulance officers alerted police to the body of a man at a neighbouring unit.
00:22He had died from multiple stab wounds.
00:24Police say the two crime scenes are linked and the woman allegedly killed the 65 year old before breaking into the home where she was arrested.
00:32Police believe the woman lived in the same block of units where the man was found dead but investigations continue into their connection and how she got into his apartment.
00:40They also recovered a weapon at the scene but would not disclose what it was.
00:45Police say it was fortunate the occupants of the second property were not injured.
00:49They were extremely lucky that they were not harmed and that the police response was almost immediate and ensured that no further damage or injury occurred to any person.
01:01The arrested woman was taken to hospital for treatment.
01:04The woman will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court in the coming days.
