Chris Young on the recent Rangers turnaround, Adolis heating up, Devers trade

Rangers president of baseball operations Chris Young joined the GBAG Nation fresh off a sweep of the White Sox to talk about what's gone into the club's recent turnaround, how Adolis Garcia has really begun to heat up following a "mental break" a few weeks ago, his thoughts on Kumar Rocker's start yesterday and more!

00:00Friday we were talking about getting the brooms out and you guys went out there and you pulled

00:19it off what's it tell you about your team right now well I think we've strung together

00:25some good series and we need to continue to do so you know certainly the games against Chicago were

00:31close and would have loved a few more runs in a couple of those games to just give us a little

00:35more margin for error but I think it is an improvement we're finding ways to to win some

00:40of these series which is an improvement from where we've been and it's important that we continue it

00:45you know we've caught our way back to 500 but we've got a long way to go and I don't think we've

00:50played our best baseball so I'm excited about what's ahead I think we've done some things

00:54extremely well in terms of our pitching our defense our base running but in terms of our

01:00offense we've we've certainly seen signs of improvement but I don't yet think we're the

01:05team that we believe we can be and I'm excited to see us continue to improve offensively what else

01:11are you hoping to see or waiting for it before you know we're out of the woods well I you know I do

01:17think we're getting healthy we've got Corey back from a position player standpoint we are relatively

01:22healthy and from a pitching standpoint Evo is making great progress we have Cody Bradford and

01:28John Gray returning hopefully soon and I think that'll really fortify our pitching staff will

01:35be in a really good spot obviously Tyler Malley went on the I.L. this weekend we're hopeful that it won't

01:40be a really long stay on the I.L. that it'll be shorter as opposed to longer but from a pitching

01:47standpoint getting Gray and Bradford back obviously the progression an improvement of Kumar Rocker

01:53was big yesterday and you know if we continue pitching like this we should give our chance

01:58ourselves the chance to win but we also offensively we have room for improvement and so if our guys

02:04internally continue to improve I think that we can we can compete with anybody in baseball
