00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. My name is Theo Hewson Betts and today I'm going out into the streets of Manchester to ask people about the TV licence.
00:06Particularly, are they happy to pay it and what do they think about the BBC and the way that they use the money?
00:12Are they in favour of it? It's obviously a massively important news source in this country. Let's go see what people have to say.
00:17I don't mind paying it. I like the BBC. I like what they make, so yeah, I'm fine with that.
00:23What should happen to it in the future? I don't know, keep paying it. It's nice to see good content being made in this country, I suppose.
00:32So yeah, I'm happy with it.
00:33Happy enough with it myself, always had it. Yeah, I'm a big believer in the BBC, what it stands for.
00:43And I'm happy to pay a bit more if I could see what the improvements would be in terms of content or whatever it might be.
00:50Yeah, I'm a supporter of them. I think they're doing the best. And they do make some great shows.
00:57And I love Strictly Come Dancing, so there you go. I'm keeping it for that.
