00:00Springs going up against Cameron. 917, 918 on the rotation. A 210 start here today. 145 to 150s on the opening numbers overnight. Still sitting in that same range here. 152s, 155s, 158s. I'm looking at nines on the total dropping to eight and a half here. Yesterday, Tom, I did take an alt-team total on the A's. Over three and a half runs at a minus 165 price. And some people will tell you, Tom, what? I'm not taking a 165.
00:25Well, if you did yesterday, you cashed your ticket. If you took the four and a half and plus money, you lost money on that equation.
00:31As the Athletics get four runs yesterday and blanked the Royals. Man, come on now. It's good hitting conditions yesterday.
00:36Should have had some runs for them. They didn't get it. But just a word to the wise.
00:40If you're making educated decisions here, sometimes you take the juice out and say, here's what I think they can get.
00:45Here's what I think they can end up with. It worked in my favor yesterday. But today, Tom, Springs Cameron, what are we looking at? A's, Royals.
00:50We should be looking at more runs. I'm seeing 84 degrees, a little bit of wind. It's blowing in. It's not massive in any capacity.
00:58You know, here's the question of what we really need to decide in this game. I think the Royals win.
01:03I don't think any team gets swept by the Athletics. But minus 152 is a lot to lay on a team that right now, the Royals, Don.
01:11Where is the offense? Like, where has this scoring gone?
01:14The consistency that we saw from them last year, it just hasn't been there overall this season.
01:20So when we look at Jeff Springs, a pitcher for the Athletics, 73 total innings pitched this year, 73.2.
01:26ERA, 464. His XFIP is 464. Not a great pitcher overall.
01:31Strikeout rate at 20%, walk rate 9.7, 1.34 home runs per nine allowed.
01:36We look to a 46.6% fly ball rate. It is terrible.
01:40Now, the power or lack thereof from the Royals has been very apparent, especially recently.
01:47Bobby Witt and Jack Caglione, obviously, that should be the future of their lineup.
01:51There's just been no power from Bobby Witt over the past month versus lefties at an ISO at 0.56.
01:58So I think this would have to be a team total bet for the Royals because there's nothing else I can trust.
02:03Noah Cameron, the young pitcher on the other side, I think has been pretty darn solid.
02:06And again, the Athletics aren't a good enough team to sweep teams consistently.
02:10I think the Royals come away with a win. I don't want to lay minus 152, though.
