00:00We got two games in the American League, and quite frankly, we have high drama in the

00:07National League, because teams could be going home.

00:09The good thing about these American League teams is, these are Game 3s, nobody's going

00:12home after tonight.

00:13Will they be disappointed?

00:14Absolutely.

00:15But let's take a look at the first one here, New York Yankees and the Kansas City Royals.

00:19That's a 7-0-8 start out in Kansas City.

00:21If we're looking favorite-wise, we actually had an opening number at minus 120, which

00:26as of this morning was there on FanDuel, but these numbers are changing.

00:29That's now down to 116 and lowering here, so maybe some money coming in on the Kansas

00:33City Royals.

00:34The total is listed at 8.

00:36We saw Game 2, Kansas City rose up, took that game 4-2, and now heads back with momentum.

00:41Is that enough momentum for you, Dubsy, to pick up a commanding 2-1 series lead out there

00:46in Kansas City today?

00:47No, I don't think so.

00:49I think this is one of the tougher matchups in trying to come up with who's going to win

00:53this one.

00:54But for the Yankees, really bullish behind Clark Schmitt.

00:56Gets the start there over Luis Hill, so I think that's a telling factor that they're

00:59putting a lot of confidence in Schmitt to go out there and get the result for the Yankees.

01:05For the Royals here, Seth Lugo, he's been pretty strong there from what we have seen

01:09with that start prior.

01:10So I think it's a really good spot for the Pinstripes, Donnie.

01:13I think the offense absolutely lights it up in terms of runs being scored.

01:17I think we could see a few late in this one, 6th, 7th, one of these innings would just

01:21absolutely pop off, and I do think it will be back in support of the Yankees.

01:26Bobby Witt in the offense for the Kansas City Royals, rocks or diamonds, can they find

01:31that spark again?

01:32But Game 3, Yankees, there's a lot on the line for this one.

01:35You don't want to be just making up the numbers.

01:37Need that win.

01:38Let's get it going in the right direction.

01:40Minus 120, slight favorites with that total now sitting at 8.

01:44I'll lean towards the Yankees in this spot, Donnie.

01:49Is it Clark Schmitt or will it be Seth Lugo for the Royals?

01:53It actually should be Seth Lugo, and also you need your MVP players to step up.

02:00because if we're looking for the past 60 days, Seth Lugo, 51 innings pitch, a 3.88 ERA, which

02:05is okay, but a 3.57 XFIP, which is very manageable.

02:09You look at Clark Schmitt, only 24 and two-thirds innings pitch over the past 60 days, a 3.65

02:13ERA, which is solid, but a 4.36 XFIP number.

02:17But if we are taking it off of that analytical number and saying, okay, Clark Schmitt, right-handed

02:21pitcher, where has he struggled over the past month?

02:23It's the left-handed batters, a 186 ISO, which isn't terrible, and a weighted on base percentage

02:28that is a little bit elevated at 361.

02:31You look at the lineup tonight coming into it for Kansas City, and look at this, Massey's

02:35got good numbers against right-handed pitching over the past month.

02:37Bobby Wood Jr. does, as well as Kyle Isbell.

02:40The rest of that lineup, Dubzy, you take a look at Vinny Pasquantino, a zero ISO power

02:44number, Salvador Perez, 069, Gurriel, 056, Melendez, 108, Pham, 109, Garcia, 057.

02:52So if you are Clark and can come into this ballgame and say, you know what, let me just

02:55give an honest pitching performance, you should be able to navigate that lineup.

02:59Now let's flip it over to Seth Lugo, who's out there with a 104 ISO against and a weighted

03:03on base percentage of 247 over the past 102 batters he's faced over the past month.

03:08It's up to the top three guys.

03:10Gleyber Torres, Juan Soto, and Aaron Judge all have very good numbers against right-handed

03:15pitching over the past month.

03:16If they don't succeed tonight, it's going to be a Royals night, and they're going to

03:19put the Yankees on the precipice of a very disappointing exit here in the American League

03:24playoffs.
