Air India crash victims' remains handed over to families
The bodies of victims from the Air India plane crash, which claimed 270 lives this week, were transferred to their families from the Mortuary Complex at Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad on Saturday, June 14.
The complex itself was packed with security and police officials, as coffins were continuously brought in for the placement of victims' remains.
The families of the crash victims and the lone survivor are to receive 2.5 million rupees ($28,984.42) in compensation from Air India, the company's CEO Campbell Wilson announced on Saturday (June 14).
