Bijnor, UP: A 26-year-old man, Sarfaraz, tragically lost his life during dialysis at a government hospital in Bijnor due to a sudden power outage. The hospital's generator failed to start—reportedly because there was no diesel.
His mother, Salma, in a heart-wrenching statement, said, “My son's blood was stuck in the machine… I kept screaming to start the generator, but no one helped.”
The incident occurred while Chief Development Officer Purna Bora was inspecting the hospital. The District Magistrate has ordered an inquiry, and the grieving family has now appealed to UP Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak for strict action.
This shocking case has raised serious questions about hospital negligence and emergency preparedness in government institutions.
