00:14Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department, Chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamed Zamzuri, Mohamed Issa confirmed that the body of the yet-to-be-identified man was discovered around 7.30 a.m.,
00:28approximately 150 meters from the accident site.
00:32The body was sent to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for a post-mortem.
00:35The case has now been reclassified under Section 41, Subsection 1 of the Road Transport Act, 1987, for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.
00:47On Friday, an accident involving two cars resulted in a collision with the pedestrian.
00:53The incident occurred at about 11.45 a.m., when a car, driven by a 39-year-old Bangladeshi man, lost control and collided with another car driven by a 43-year-old Vietnamese woman.
01:07The first car then struck the pedestrian before plunging under a bridge and becoming trapped between concrete structures and iron pipes.
01:14The driver sustained injuries and was taken to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for treatment.
01:19Further investigation also revealed that the Bangladeshi driver was not the registered owner of the vehicle.
01:27Police are now working to trace the actual owner.
