In Bradenton, Florida, what starts as a normal pizza delivery turns bizarre when an 8-foot alligator is spotted roaming the neighborhood and crawling under a parked car. To keep things moving, a responding officer steps in and delivers the pizza. As seen during On Patrol: Live, it’s a classic Florida moment—equal parts strange and hilarious.

00:00This next one was sent to us by the Bradenton Police Department, just outside of Sarasota.
00:08An officer with the Bradenton PD is in pursuit of this eight-foot alligator, actually less
00:17like a pursuit and more like monitoring the situation from a safe distance.
00:23Is it an alligator or a crocodile?
00:25That's an alligator.
00:27Thankfully, an animal control officer has just arrived.
00:31Correction, it's a pizza delivery.
00:34Which one?
00:35Stop, stop, stop.
00:37There's an alligator underneath that car right there.
00:39I'll call Diana, tell her not to come out.
00:43The neighbor calls Diana, who's waiting for her pizza, and has no idea what's under her
00:48car.
00:49I'm from New York, and I've never seen what you don't want to see.
00:53What do you guys do for that?
00:56I contacted FWC, a trapper should be on the way.
00:59The delivery person contemplates her next move.
01:01Maybe go around the back.
01:02I'm a little scared.
01:04The pizza's getting cold, but I don't think that's her biggest concern.
01:07Do you want to do another concern?
01:09Hey Diana, it's Candy across the street.
01:14It does not come out your front door, there's an alligator there.
01:17Oh, well, I don't know how I'm going to get your payment.
01:19There's always going to come around the back and deliver your pizza.
01:24As the gator watches from the driveway, the officer carefully makes his way towards the
01:30house.
01:31You can stay there.
01:34Just stay there.
01:35Looks like he's in the clear.
01:37But just to be on the safe side, he turns around, careful not to have his back to the
01:44gator.
01:46There's no answer.
01:48Go in the house!
01:50Actually, it sounds like Diana just opened her front door.
01:53Ma'am, get back over there.
01:55There's an alligator right under your car.
01:57Oh my god!
01:59Go in the house!
02:00Oh my family days, there's a big alligator under my car.
02:03Hey ma'am, could you...
02:04Oh my lordy!
02:07Get in the house!
02:09She's literally just feet away from the alligator.
02:11Where's my pizza?
02:13I'll take it to the back door.
02:15Holy shit!
02:17Oh, big old alligator!
02:18The officer returns to the back door.
02:21Here's your pizza.
02:22Look, okay, I'll take it to her.
02:24Yeah, how much was it?
02:25I have no idea.
02:26I'm not the pizza man.
02:28Oh, well you're a policeman.
02:30Yes, I'm a policeman, not a pizza man.
02:32You got it?
02:33Yeah, they called us about the alligator.
02:35Are you expecting change from her?
02:37Did she deliver?
02:38No, they said it was 32 something.
02:40Okay, I'll give this to her so she can leave.
02:42She's the one that delivered?
02:43Yeah.
02:44Now, when was the alligator there?
02:46It just got there.
02:47Well, I'd like to take a picture of it.
02:49Well, and I wouldn't take it from where you were.
02:51Oh, no.
02:52I mean...
02:53As if delivering the pizza wasn't enough,
02:55the officer is now photographing the alligator for her.
03:00He returns the phone to Diana, and with the gator that close,
03:04you might say this officer's more than earned his tip.
03:08Now, just one final detail.
03:10Oh, I've gotten a few out of this neighborhood over the years.
03:12We're moving the alligator.
03:14Oh, my gosh.
03:14The gator's trying her best to break free.
03:19And don't ask me how I know that's a female alligator.
03:22The head is what I'm worried about.
03:23I had to swing an angle.
03:25Finally, the gator's worn out.
03:27So now, all that's left to do before she's taken away is to take her measurements.
03:31I guess depending on the pizza, it might be worth it.
03:38The gator turned out to be eight foot long.
03:40She was safely relocated to the eastern part of Manatee County.
03:44And in case you were wondering, the pizza delivery woman got a whole $7 tip.
03:50Yeah.
