'Oh, now he's mad!': Florida man carries nearly nine-foot alligator like baby after wrestling it in family pool

This was the remarkable moment a Florida man wrestled and subsequently rescued an eight-foot-eight alligator from a family home's pool in Parkland on October 15.

Footage shows professional alligator rescuer Paul Bedard wrestle with the beast in the pool in an effort to tire the large reptile.

Bedard can be heard in the video exclaiming, "Oh, now he's mad!" as the gator jerks in his arms.

Bedard's long effort was rewarded when the gator was eventually subdued and he was able to carry it like an infant from the pool to his truck.

The stunned filmer, a local resident, said: "This 8'8" alligator decided to have a pool party at my house and we had to tell him the party was over."

They later told Newsflare: "I get home from work after my neighbor called to say I have a gator in my pool, and there's a guy kissing an alligator in my pool.

"The catcher brought the gator to his truck and prepared to transport him to his park in the Everglades. He said because the gator was so mellow, he'd be good for shows."
