00:03wrote three standouts from Commanders minicamp.

00:06I think a couple of these are interesting

00:08and might have to play a bigger role

00:09if Noah Brown is going to miss some time.

00:11We'll start with the first one that he has is Luke McCaffrey.

00:15He says,

00:15There was never a question about McCaffrey's work ethic

00:17or determination last season,

00:19but it was clear that he needed more time to develop

00:21into a more polished NFL receiver.

00:23Now the third round picks.

00:25Hard work is starting to pay off.

00:28I'm intrigued if he can play a role this season

00:31because they're going to need him, I would think.

00:33I mean, you don't draft a guy in the third round

00:34and then not expect him to give you something

00:37in the first couple years of his career.

00:39I think, you know, he's a converted quarterback,

00:42so I think he has an understanding at the receiver position

00:44that maybe some of the other guys don't,

00:46just from that knowledge of playing quarterback.

00:48But I'm interested to see if he's going to have

00:50a bigger role this year because I think you kind of need him to.

00:53Well, I think last year I watched him work and him

00:55doing some running back stuff, slot stuff, return.

01:00There's a lot of things they want him to do

01:02and they have a lot of players on that team

01:04that can do those type of things.

01:05And I watched him last year and he returned some punts good,

01:09kickoffs good.

01:10He was open sometimes, but, you know,

01:13it wasn't in the read process.

01:14But I really believe that he's going to take a step forward.

01:18You know, he's from an athletic family.

01:20His dad was damn good.

01:22His brother, we all know what Christian has done.

01:26But I think Luke takes that step this year.
