00:00It might officially be summer outdoors, but there's still plenty of reasons to stay inside,
00:05shut the curtains and get the telly on. From the conclusion of a global blockbuster TV series
00:11to some more family-friendly favourites that are back for another year.
00:14I'm TV and tech writer Matt Morne-Hickson and these are my picks for the shows you simply
00:19cannot miss in June 2025. So first up we've got The Gold, which is back on the BBC after more
00:26than two years away. Its second series started on Sunday June the 8th and there'll be two episodes
00:31every week for three weeks because there's six episodes in total. But if you can't wait for the
00:37other episodes the full box set including the first season is available on BBC iPlayer now.
00:43It stars Hugh Bonneville of Paddington and Downton Abbey fame of course and it follows the it's based on
00:50the true story of the Brinks Matt robbery in the 1980s when loads of gold was stolen and it's
00:56about the hunt for the gold to get it back and also the people that committed the crime.
01:01Next up is The Return of Love Island, we've got a full video for that so yeah go and watch that
01:07that'll be on all our Love Island stories but that's back on June the 9th on ITV2. There'll be
01:13six episodes a week, lots of singletons looking for love, you know the deal by now. Anyway, moving on,
01:20we've got also on ITV we've got Soccer Aid is back for another year. It's always a favourite isn't it?
01:26Lots of celebrities and favourite ex-pros taking to the pitch for a good cause. What good you want in
01:32the summer? Anyway, that's going to have stars from the shows like The Last of Us, Dragon's Den,
01:40one of the favourites from One Direction as well as your favourite footballers from the past. That
01:45starts at 6pm on ITV on Sunday, June the 16th. There's also some tie-in events around it so
01:53there's a Deal or No Deal, Soccer Aid Special, the 1% Club Soccer Aid Special so keep your eyes peeled for
02:00all that. Now switching up gears a bit, a little bit here, The Bear is back for its fourth season in
02:08four years which in the modern age of TV is really quite impressive when there's usually two, three,
02:14four, five year gaps between seasons so that's back with 10 new helpings on Disney Plus on June the 25th
02:23so you can enjoy them a la carte or as a set menu if you have the time to watch 10 in a row and the
02:30stomach as well because The Bear is quite quite a stressful experience. The later season it's back
02:36with Cammie and The Core at The Bear restaurant now, it's not a sandwich shop anymore and it follows their
02:42money troubles, their consistency issues and their desire to achieve excellence in the restaurant world.
02:52It'll be one to watch for sure, there'll definitely be tons of standout episodes, they really love those
02:57special one-off episodes don't they on The Bear so we'll bring you more on that once it's out and then
03:03to wrap up the month is the one that you're probably all waiting for it's the third and final season
03:09of Squid Game. The second season came out at the back end of last year after quite a long wait
03:15unfortunately not quite as long a wait for the third season that's out on June the 27th on Netflix
03:20there'll be six episodes all out at once so you can play the final game together but we'll
03:27player four five six survive will he make it to the end will he do it again will he manage to shut
03:32down the squid game guess we'll find out you will have to let me know what you think of it though
