00:00If I hadn't got checked, nothing much would have happened probably for about two years and then it would have been sad stories. That's me, it's probably you as well. So just ask yourself the question, have you had your skin checked for melanoma? Have you had a colonoscopy for blower cancer? Have you had a blood test to test your PSA and also liver function, kidney function?
00:30Do you get a slight pain in the chest when you go for a bit of a walk? Have you had that checked? One of the great blessings of living in Australia is you can get all these things checked. You put all this money into super, say when you retire, you've got money in super and everybody's very conscious about that.
00:46Well, what are you putting into your health super? How much are you investing in that? Because there's not much point getting in a time where you can collect your super but you can't use it.
00:57You know, so I think that's a good metaphor. You've got your financial super and everyone knows about it. They look at their super balance all the time.
01:04But they don't think about the health super. Their investment in that for a lot of blokes is pretty minimal. But there's not much point having one without the other.
01:13You live an active life and so you think, I'm fit. There's nothing wrong with me. But that's not the issue. It's not your biceps that are going to cause you a problem.
01:25It's your heart. It's melanoma and it's prostate cancer and things like that. Bowel cancer. They're the ones that are going to cause you a problem.
01:33And my younger brother died of 43 of bowel cancer. So don't think, oh, well, I'm outside the age bracket where I need to worry.
01:41I'd say once you get over 40, start thinking about it a lot more.
01:44One person has a wife or a partner and says, Cecil, you haven't had your PSA test. And he goes, go get it. And lo and behold, go, you too.
02:00And if that saves his life, well, then this was all worthwhile. Just one person. That's all I need.
02:05And that's all I need.
02:07You're going to try to gain more.
02:09So one person is.
02:11And we're looking for you to let some feel more, uh, or rebelling.
02:14And then the question is, what, should I have already done?
02:18I hope this looks good.
02:19Just have one person, but one person.
02:20And yet, just have it.
02:23And my family will be love for me.
02:26But than I was thinking about everything about wider and the distance between,
02:30your friend or your wife or whoever,
02:32and your sister are really out on the other side.
