00:00...shake up here, and we're standing by for comments from the President.
00:33I think there are a number of donors who are stepping forward to pitch in and make a difference.
00:38We want to bring it back, and bring it back better than ever.
00:45As you know, it needs a little help from the standpoint of age and fitness.
00:53I think there are a number of donors who are going to be able to do that.
01:03I love that. I appreciate it many times.
01:05We love it. We love it.
01:07It's a very serious issue.
01:17It could be. It could happen.
01:21Mr. President, can you put the program there, sir?
01:24I believe so.
01:26As far as I know you.
01:28Mr. President, for a long time, you decided that you'd love to leave in Hebrew.
01:33Say it.
01:38Mr. President.
01:39Mr. President.
02:02Well, we're going to say to you, Senator, we're going to make it incredible.
02:18We have all the funding.
02:19We raised a lot tonight.
02:21And we'll put in a lot of money and bring it back to the highest level, higher than it was ever before.
02:28It's got great sound.
02:29You know, the bones are very good.
02:30And the sound is great.
02:31You'll see that tonight.
02:33But we look forward to doing a real job.
02:35Mr. President.
02:35It's a great honor, actually, to be chairman.
02:37They asked me to be chairman.
02:39I have a lot of other things going on, but it's a great honor to be chairman.
02:44Mr. President, a question from Ms. Max.
02:49I hope you've got a good one.
02:51She's got a good one.
02:52I'll bet she's got one.
02:54Mr. President, what would they say to Democrats who don't want to come here because you're in charge?
03:00Mr. President, what would they say to Democrats who don't want to come here?
03:02Mr. Well, if they need it, we're going to be there, absolutely.
03:05If we weren't there, if we didn't bring in the National Guard and the Marines, you would probably have a city that was burning to the ground, just like it was a number of months ago with the housing.
03:16You would have had a big problem there.
03:19We were – in fact, the police team said so much.
03:22If you look at what his statements were, he said, we're very lucky to have had that.
03:26If we weren't there, that city would have been burning to the ground.
03:28It would be burning right now.
03:30Mr. President, what do you think of actors who were thinking of avoiding tonight?
03:33The Pressure of unrest, what are you prepared to do, sir?
03:36About what?
03:37The Pressure of the spread now, is it going to be cities across the U.S.?
03:41Well, I don't know.
03:42That's what you're saying.
03:43Do I believe you?
03:44I don't think so.
03:45I can tell you that what we have – what we have is a situation in Los Angeles that was caused by gross incompetence.
03:52They didn't have the police to handle it.
03:54The police were asking us to come in.
03:56They were very late.
03:57We had to go in to save a lot of ISIS officers, as you know, who were held up.
04:01They were held up in a building, and they were being attacked.
04:05And the military went in.
04:07The National Guard went in and got them.
04:08The police weren't able, unfortunately, to move fast enough.
04:12But we moved fast enough.
04:13And while we were there, we stayed there.
04:15And we stopped tremendous destruction and death.
04:20We stopped the death.
04:21We stopped a lot.
04:22And if you look at them cutting up and breaking up the sidewalk and getting it and using it as a weapon – did you see that?
04:28With the curb?
04:29Where they're breaking up the curb – nice curb – and they break it up with a hammer because they couldn't get the bricks in.
04:35You know, they got caught with the bricks.
04:36We have them under arrest.
04:37They were bringing bricks in to throw at our police, to throw at our National Guard, and to throw at people.
04:44And they couldn't get them in because we got them.
04:46And after we got them, they went and took a big hammer and started breaking up the concrete sidewalk and curve, and they were handing it out to people to throw and drop on cars.
04:55You saw what they did to damage – so if you don't do something about that, there's something very wrong.
05:01We are going to have law and order in our country.
05:05Mr. President, let's hear it.
05:06We're going to say we're going to boycott it tonight.
05:08Who is?
05:09It's been reported that some actors may be boycotting –
05:12I couldn't tell us.
05:13Honestly, I couldn't.
05:14All I do is run the country well.
05:16The economic numbers, you saw them today.
05:18They're setting records.
05:20We took $88 million in tariffs in two months, far beyond what anybody expected.
05:27There's no inflation.
05:28People are happy.
05:29People are wealthy.
05:30The country is getting back to strength again.
05:33That's what I care about.
05:34And we're going to have a safe country.
05:36We're not going to have what would have happened in Los Angeles.
05:38Remember, if I wasn't there, if I didn't act quickly on that, Los Angeles would be burning to the ground right now.
05:47Mr. President, could you provide an update on Iran?
05:50How excited or was it your great new leadership with Ambassador Bonnell?
05:54Well, he's a great guy.
05:56Rick is great.
05:56He's always done well for me.
05:58The new era right here is going to be something.
06:02The bones of this facility are incredible.
06:04We're going to make it really great.
06:06How excited or was it your favorite show?
06:08Tonight's going to be great.
06:09Mr. President, could you give us an update on Iran as you're in charge?
06:15Say it again?
06:16Yes.
06:16A question from Newsmax.
06:18Could you provide an update on Iran?
06:19We're hearing reports that U.S. personnel are being moved out of the region within striking distance.
06:24Well, they are being moved out because it could be a dangerous place and we'll see what happens.
06:30But they are being, we've given notice to move out.
06:33We'll see what happens.
06:35Is there anything else to be able to dial the temperature down in the region?
06:38They can't have a nuclear weapon.
06:41Very simple.
06:42They can't have a nuclear weapon.
06:45We're not going to allow that.
06:48A question on the musical.
06:50Have you seen the musical before?
06:52And do you identify more with Jean Valjean or is it there?
06:55Oh, that's a tough one.
06:56That last part of that question.
06:58That's tough, I think.
06:59You better answer that one, honey.
07:02I don't know.
07:02I've seen it.
07:04We've seen it a number of times.
07:06It's fantastic.
07:07I thought it was just about our first few years.
07:09So that's what we got.
07:11And we have others coming.
07:12Other great ones are coming.
07:13Fanshawe, the offer of the U.S.
07:14is the U.S.
07:15of the U.S.
07:16of the U.S.
07:16of the U.S.
07:17We'll be working for a change study.
07:17We'll be so quiet, Jeff.
07:18I have a question on trade.
07:21Would you be willing to extend the deadline for trade talks with these countries?
07:26I would, but I don't think we're going to have that necessity.
07:30We made a great deal with China.
07:31We're very happy with it.
07:33We're, we have everything we need.
07:36And we're going to do very well with it.
07:38And hopefully they are too.
07:40That was a very big one.
07:42We, as you know, we did with the U.K.
07:45And I tell you what, we are, we're rocking in terms of deals.
07:50Now, at a certain point, we're just going to send letters out.
07:53And I think you understand that, saying this is the deal.
07:56You can take it or you can leave it.
07:59You don't have to use it.
08:00You don't have to shop in the United States, as I say.
08:03So at a certain point, we'll do that.
08:05We're not quite ready.
08:05We're dealing with quite a few countries.
08:08And they all want to make a deal with us, every one of them.
08:11Who's next?
08:11Who are you expecting you to deal with next?
08:13Well, we're dealing with Japan.
08:14We're dealing with South Korea.
08:15We're dealing with a lot of them.
08:16We're dealing with about 15 countries.
08:18But as you know, we have about 150-plus.
08:22And you can't do that.
08:23So we're going to be sending letters out in about a week and a half, two weeks, to countries,
08:29telling them what the deal is, like I did with EU.
08:32And are you happy with the EU right now?
08:34You were unhappy with them about five days ago.
08:36Well, I'll let you know in about a week.
08:38They do want to negotiate.
08:39I will say that.
08:40We are, Brian, and I'm glad you're here.
08:46Glad to be here.
08:48What does it mean to be here tonight?
08:50Now this is under your administration.
08:51You're bringing class back.
08:53The golden era of theater.
08:55We are.
08:55We have a golden era here in the country.
08:57You see, the trade numbers came in today.
08:59They're fantastic.
09:01The deficit was cut in half over a period of two months.
09:04We cut what they tried to destroy our country.
09:07They were destroying our country.
09:08And you saw how good the numbers were.
09:11We took in 88 billion in tariffs in two and a half months.
09:14And that we didn't even start yet.
09:17Now we're bringing the country back fast.
09:19And I'm very proud to have helped Los Angeles survive.
09:23Los Angeles right now, if we didn't do what we did, would be burning to the ground.
09:27And that's not over yet.
09:28You know, these are radical left lunatics that you're dealing with.
09:32And they're tough.
09:33They're smart.
09:34They're probably paid, many of them, as you know.
09:37They're professionals.
09:38When you see them chopping up concrete, because the bricks got captured, they're chopping up concrete.
09:43And they're using that as a weapon.
09:45That's pretty bad.
09:46And thank you very much for your question.
09:47You're a New Yorker.
09:48You've been to a million theaters.
09:50Do you remember your first theater production that you attended?
09:53A long time ago.
09:54I would say maybe it was Cats.
09:56Cats.
09:57First Lady, do you remember your first theater production you saw?
10:01A Phantom of the Opera.
10:02Are you a Les Miscians, Mrs. Trump?
10:04I am.
10:04It was great.
10:05I am.
10:06We're going to bring you a lot of wine.
10:07We're going to die coke tonight while we watch the press.
10:09I think so.
10:10I think that would be good.
10:12Thank you, Brad.
10:12Thank you, Brad.
10:14Thank you very much.
10:14Thank you very much.
10:15Have a good night.
10:15Our parade is going to be incredible.
10:29It will be a parade like we haven't had in many, many decades here.
10:33And it's a celebration of our country.
10:35It's a celebration of the Army, actually.
10:37You know, the Army was one year earlier than the Union itself,
10:41than the founding of our country itself.
10:43One year.
10:44And it's going to be a celebration of the Army and the military.
10:47It's going to be incredible.
10:49I tell you, we have the greatest weapons in the world
10:52and the greatest people in the world.
10:53It's going to be a big parade.
10:55You guys look amazing, then.
10:56You guys look amazing.
10:57It's going to be great.
