We ask people in Birmingham how much they think a nice garden affects a property's value. Does outdoor space play a big role when buying or selling a home—or is it just a bonus?

00:00I think it's actually really quite important because you can,
00:04beautiful nature is what that is, so I think if it's just a house,
00:08sometimes you've got to set it up correctly for it to look nice to sell.
00:12Whereas I think a good garden, it's a good sized garden, because you can have
00:16barbecues, parties or whatever you want to do in it when you're relaxing.
00:20A garden is good for a lot of things, whereas a house, there's limitations besides living in it.
00:24It's great to have a lovely garden from your own environment.
00:28Nobody wants to get up and see loads of concrete.
00:32It's very good for the environment and it's also good for your wellbeing.
00:36So we need to have open spaces so people can breathe in what the plants are bringing into our atmosphere.

00:52but I've got lots of hedges and lots of flowers in my garden.
