The story opens as Ali, one of the main characters, faces the gallows for unpremeditated murder. 00:00Wait. Wait for a few more rings.
00:18Hello?
00:20Hello.
00:21Your son is very scared. What's your plan?
00:25I'll do whatever you want.
00:28Just don't hurt him.
00:30If you shut up and try not to play smart games, I won't be hurting them.
00:35Keep him talking.
00:36We can resolve this matter between us.
00:39All I want is the return of my son.
00:42I want...
00:44one million dollars.
00:47Dollars.
00:51I don't have that much.
00:54Then forget about the little prince.
00:56Listen. Listen to me. Don't hang up.
01:00I'll provide the money, but the problem is the exchange, you see.
01:03Exchanging that amount will raise suspicion.
01:06Well, you need to do without causing suspicion.
01:10But it takes time.
01:12I have plenty of time. You don't.
01:14I'll do it.
01:17But please let me talk to my son.
01:20That's what happens in the movies, sir.
01:24You have to let me talk to him.
01:27So if you want to make sure that I'm holding him, I can send you one of his fingers.
01:31That's a sign.
01:31Well, maybe so. Which one?
01:33You're an animal.
01:35Such a ruthless a...
01:36I need to make sure he's okay.
01:43Stop wasting your time, sir.
01:45I'm demanding one million dollars.
01:48You've only got two days.
01:50Once the cash is ready, I'll tell you what to do.
01:52Okay?
01:53That's when you'll have your son back.
01:55Otherwise, you'll be talking to him on his grave in the cemetery.
02:00Amin can't survive.
02:03My son has a chronic disease.
02:05Then hurry up and get the money now.
02:08Don't tell the police.
02:09Hello?
02:19We've found out where he's calling from.
02:21There happened to be a booth in District 2.
02:24Dispatch a team to find out if there's any security cameras there.
02:28All right, sir.
02:34We're planning to leave the country.
02:39We need to continue our probe and work on the results of the interrogation with your driver.
02:57Morat?
03:00If he's involved in the case, then he'll take us right to the kidnappers.
03:04Morat is a decent guy.
03:08He wouldn't do such a thing.
03:11We'll find out.
03:14Is he a suspect?
03:16To me, everyone is a potential suspect.
03:18I may be able to tolerate any illegal activities like smuggling, robbery, whatever, even murder.
03:25But I can't tolerate abduction and hostage-taking.
03:28It commends me incredibly.
03:33Especially when children are the victims.
03:36And in this case, one was diabetes.
03:41I wrote down whatever I knew in the initial report.
03:44The school staff is my witness.
03:45I admit I informed Mr. Faramand a bit late because I was hoping to find Amin.
03:50All the shopkeepers in the area could be witnesses that I searched for the boy.
03:54But no one had any idea where he was.
03:56I asked them whether they'd seen Amin, but no one had noticed or spotted him.
04:00Because Amin has no noticeable facial features.
04:03I was running everywhere, sir, trying to find him.
04:06I didn't know where to go next.
04:08Then I called Mr. Faramand.
04:10I should have called him earlier, I know that.
04:12Or maybe even called the police.
04:16I swear all I told you is the truth and nothing but the truth.
04:19No swearing.
04:20Then how can I make you believe what I'm saying?
04:23Just tell me the truth.
04:25All I told you is nothing but the truth, sir.
04:27When a suspect swears, it's a sign he's trying to lie.
04:32Are you saying I'm a suspect?
04:33What am I accused of?
04:35For now, it's just being an accomplice.
04:38Okay?
04:39You're mistaken, sir.
04:40I'm not the suspect you should try to find.
04:42I want you to be focused and answer clearly.
04:45Has anyone been following you recently when you were picking Amin up?
04:49Ah.
04:50How come you're so sure?
04:52Well, I'd have noticed if someone had followed me.
04:55But the kidnappers knew when to be there because they'd followed you.
04:59If you look at it that way, yeah, probably.
05:02What way?
05:02I mean, what you said.
05:05They must have been waiting until I ran late one day so that they could then do the job.
05:09Maybe they waited outside the school instead of following you.
05:14That's possible, too.
05:15And the third possibility is that you had a hand in this.
05:18There's no such possibility.
05:20I was never involved.
05:22Did the boys say anything about this?
05:25I'm just the driver.
05:27We never spoke all that much.
05:29Why not?
05:31His father advised him not to talk to drivers.
05:34Because the father didn't trust you?
05:36If he didn't, how come he hired me to pick up his son?
05:41I don't like you.
05:43Because you're not sincere.
05:46I'm sorry.
05:47It's just the way it looks.
05:48It's just the way it looks.
06:18You can go to the toilet now.
06:31What do you want to do with me?
06:35I'm not with them.
06:37Then who are you?
06:41Someone like you.
06:43What do they want?
06:45Money.
06:45My dad is rich.
06:48And they know that.
06:49What happens next?
06:50Once your dad pays the money, you'll be back home.
06:53Dad will pay the money.
06:54But if you try to mess up, even if your dad pays them, you won't go home.
06:59So try to calm down.
07:01And let everything finish smoothly.
07:03You're not like them, right?
07:08Like who?
07:09The bad guys.
07:10I'm even worse than them, but in a completely different way.
07:17How can I help you, ma'am?
07:36Excuse me, I'm just here for a photography project.
07:40Well, you can't do it.
07:41Why not?
07:42Go find somewhere else.
07:44But the architect said I can't.
07:45He said the materials will be unloaded this afternoon.
07:49Did he say that?
07:50Yes.
07:51Well, you didn't tell me.
07:52That's what architects are like.
07:54I'm his daughter's friend.
07:55Don't stay here.
07:57You're preventing us from working.
07:59What do you mean?
08:00You're preventing the workers from doing their job.
08:02But I'm here to take photos while they work.
08:04Why do you want to do that?
08:06Because that's my job.
08:08What's your name, sir?
08:10Why are you asking?
08:11I want to call the architect and tell him you're harassing me.
08:14That's no harassment.
08:15But you keep nagging and stopping me.
08:17I just asked you not to block the way.
08:22I'm not going to hinder your work.
08:24You're doing your job and I'm minding my own business, that's all.
08:27Listen, the thing is that some of the workers have already stopped working to watch you.
08:31Then why don't you give them a warning or something instead of shouting at me?
08:35The architect has to understand that what we need is construction material, not a photographer.
08:39Aren't you going to receive materials today?
08:41Well, we're supposed to.
08:43But we're too busy with a photographer around.
08:46You can call the architect and complain.
08:48Oh, I will for sure.
08:50What?
08:51It's the first time you're seeing a young girl?
08:54Anything new, Darabi?
09:08Sir, the neighbours say they saw nothing suspicious or peculiar.
09:10This means it was a job by someone the boy knew and went with him without resistance.
09:14That's our primary assumption for now until we find out more.
09:19Yes, that's the main possibility.
09:20It's very probable.
09:21Very probable.
09:23Is there anything new from the driver?
09:25He's repeating the same claims he made in the initial report.
09:28I have no doubt he's lying.
09:31What do you mean?
09:32Are you sure?
09:32In such cases, a close person is often involved.
09:36I could see in his eyes that he was lying, you know?
09:39What?
09:39Are you psychic now?
09:40Well, sir...
09:42This world is filled with psychics and fortune tellies.
09:46What we lack is smart detectives.
09:48You understand me?
09:49I'm so sorry, sir.
09:53You need proof of your claim, sir.
09:54Put him under pressure and very close watch until you can prove he's lying.
09:59If you're right about him, that would lead us to the main culprit.
10:03Absolutely, sir.
10:04Time is running out for us.
10:07Remember, the kid is suffering from diabetes and needs injections.
10:10I understand, sir.
10:10Go back and interrogate him.
10:12You need to confuse him.
10:13Stop searching for proof in his looks.
10:15What I need is concrete evidence, not speculations.
10:17Okay, sir.
10:20Let's go now.
10:21I have to see the general, and you can leave to go and see the driver again.
10:25Sure.
10:45What happened?
10:46What were you expecting?
10:48Did he agree?
10:50He has no other option.
10:53Why did you push me into this adventure, Temur?
10:56I decided that it was time for you to make up.
10:59But I've already made up.
11:01Then I'll be settled after this one?
11:03Well, I won't be here to ask for anything anymore.
11:05But if things don't go as you've planned, I'll be a big loser.
11:09You're already one.
11:10I'm responsible for my own actions and my life.
11:15But in this case, I'll have to be accountable for your plots.
11:18Okay, no problem.
11:19You can go on with your own misery.
11:23Temur, have you worked out a plan about how to exchange the boy?
11:26I'm very meticulous in my plans.
11:28Don't worry about it.
11:29Okay, tell me the details and I'll calm down.
11:32You know, a rider never tells a donkey what the destination is.
11:35He just pulls the reins when they're at a curve.
11:37So then you have to try not to get stuck in mud like a donkey or you'll never be saved.
11:41Well, too much donkey stuff, I'm confused.
11:46Okay, never mind.
11:49You're always right.
11:51Why's that lazy jerk sleeping here?
11:54Well, I threw him out.
11:56He stinks big time, man.
12:11I don't say bread and
12:32I don't say that.
12:32But also, I don't care.
