So because it is this situation, the people, the victims of this situation are the ordinary people of Sikihor.
00:41And they cannot go about their business. Yung pa naman, Sikihor is growing so quickly.
00:47At nagiging tourist destination ng Sikihor, they are losing that opportunity to develop dahil nga dito sa kakulangan ng kuryente.
00:56Kaya ang ginawa natin, at least in the short term.
01:12That will, the gensets are arriving tonight and tomorrow.
01:23But this is a temporary, that will be a temporary solution.
01:28Kailangan natin makahanap ng permanent solution para yung Sikihor ay yung kanilang commitment para mag-provide ng kuryente sa tao to the cooperative.
01:40The cooperative is paying Sikihor properly. At we have to coordinate the different power plants ngayon na hindi pa nagagawa.
02:08So for our short term solution, yun na nga, yung dalawang genset.
02:13Tapos we will, we have given ourselves, dun sa usapan namin, we have given ourselves a deadline of 6 months for this short term solution.
02:21By 6 months from now, we will then impose whatever new arrangements that we have to do,
02:32so that 6 months from now, we do not have to resort to emergency gensets.
02:38Now we have to think about fuel supply.
02:41Now we have to think about the development of even the transmission lines.
02:46We also have to make sure that the machines, the generators are working properly.
02:52Lahat ito kailangan natin maayos.
02:54We have to do this.
02:55SIPCOR has to live up to its commitments.
03:13Kaya at kailangan natin i-resolve ba yung problema ngayon.
03:19But that's it.
03:20So for now, we have a solution.
03:23We will be able to provide power to the island of Siquijor.
03:28And we will be able to do that for the next 6 months.
03:32In the meantime, in the 6 months, in the interregnum,
03:35pag-uusapan namin na mabuti,
03:37we will be talking very seriously with SIPCOR
03:40to make sure that they, as I said, live up to their commitments
03:44at maibalik natin sa tamang sistema
03:46ang pag-provide ng kuryente dito sa Siquijor.
03:50So that's the situation that we have right now.
03:54Sir, ng good morning.
03:56Good morning.
03:56Yes, Catherine Duban, sir, from Roger Vistak.
04:04Yun.
04:06But what I just said, that was the assessment.
04:09The assessment is that the SIPCOR has to come up with
04:13to live up to their commitments, maraming kakulangan.
04:16We have to repair the damage that has been caused
04:18by the collapse of the power supply.
04:21And that is the schedule that we have given ourselves.
04:25Six months.
04:27Yeah, six months from now,
04:29we will guarantee that there will be a long-term solution.
04:33Hindi na itong patsi-patsi
04:34na ating kailangan, na napilitan natin gawin ngayon.
04:38So the government will do its part.
04:41SIPCOR must do its part as well.
04:43President, kaya maring di mapakawal, Jim.
04:45At binigyan natin ang six-month target to
04:47for the short term.
04:49Ilang months naman ito po yung target natin
04:51for the SIPCOR for the long-term solution dito, President.
04:54What do you mean?
04:55Ilang, ilang years kaya or months kaya
04:59for the long-term solution dito sa SIPCOR?
05:01The long-term solution is a permanent solution.
05:04It will not go six months nga.
05:07Six months.
05:08Hindi.
05:09Six months natin paanda rin
05:12itong short-term solution,
05:14Jen said,
05:16in the six months natrabawin namin
05:18na maayos na.
05:20Na para,
05:21meron na tayong permanent solution
05:23na ipapaandar
05:25six months from now.
05:26Paano pag hindi po maybigay ni SIPCOR?
05:29Hindi, hindi, hindi po pwedeng,
05:30paano hindi bibigay.
05:31Hindi pwede.
05:32It just cannot be.
05:34It's,
05:35talk to the people
05:36na walang kuryente.
05:38Dear,
05:38the governor has to explain.
05:40He has to explain everyday
05:41to his people kung bakit walang kuryente.
05:44Hindi naman nila kasalanan.
05:45Nagbabayad na ang cooperative.
05:47Ang problema,
05:48yung provider.
05:49At yan ang kailangan natin ayusin.
05:50Lastly lang siguro,
05:52may call po kasi yung
05:54sa mga school would hold phone
05:55or for another supplier
05:57or provider po sana.
05:59Yeah.
06:00Open kaya?
06:01Pwede dito kaya?
06:02Everything,
06:03everything is on the table.
06:05We just have to examine
06:06what is the best solution.
06:07We have some very good ideas.
06:10The NEO administrator is here
06:11and he has,
06:12he has put out
06:15at least a framework
06:18on how what we need
06:20to attend to
06:21what will come first,
06:22et cetera, et cetera.
06:23We can give you more detail
06:25after we have
06:26the detailed planning for that.
