00:00It's nice when the team you're covering is playing better, isn't it, Stoney?
00:04Well, it is, Andy.
00:06It's not only the wins.
00:07Obviously, everybody's looking for wins, and you certainly want to do that.
00:10I'm looking at the kind of baseball they're playing.
00:13What I'm watching is some young guys who have just burst on the scene
00:17who seem to me like they're going to be here for a while.
00:21It doesn't look like a one-and-done type when I talk about my draw,
00:25although I believe he's going to be a second baseman and not a shortstop.
00:28I think that this guy has shown that he can really hit.
00:31Anytime you put the numbers on the board like he has, you get to two strikes.
00:35He has no problem with that because he is a contact hitter.
00:38So looking at him, looking at Teal coming up,
00:41and I know that Kyle is going to hit for some power.
00:44Right now he's just trying to make some contact.
00:46It looks pretty impressive.
00:47His pop time to second base is just outstanding.
00:50He had one below two the other day.
00:52Throughout the base runner at second base, it was Waters, who's got pretty good speed,
00:56and he got him, and he got him by a pretty good margin.
00:59So you look at that.
01:00You look at Vargas, who's really come alive of recent vintage,
01:04and you realize you make a mistake on Elko.
01:07He's probably going to hit it hard.
01:09I'm not quite as sure as him as I am of some of the other young guys around,
01:14but Colson Montgomery is starting to hit the baseball out of the ballpark.
01:17He's probably the shortstop of the future, you would assume.
01:21And so, yes, along with Edgar Caro, there's some hope.
01:25There's some guys who can really play.
01:27They're young.
01:27They're aggressive.
01:28They never give up at bats.
01:30They hustle every moment.
01:31And so, yes, I think things are looking a whole lot better for the Sox these days.
