00:00So this one is going to take us to New Mexico.

00:03That's the home of Reels and a pursuit involving a U-Haul truck

00:06with two people trapped inside being held against their will.

00:13George! George!

00:16That noise you hear is coming from inside the back of this U-Haul truck.

00:21A couple is trapped inside and they're doing everything they can

00:25in hopes that someone will hear them.

00:28George!

00:30Until finally, the U-Haul very slowly pulls away.

00:36Fortunately, a neighbor did hear those sounds and called 911.

00:40And Santa Fe police have now tracked the U-Haul to this stretch of highway.

00:45And there's the truck.

00:46I need a unit. I need a marked unit. It's all over the road. Approaching I-25. Approaching I-25.

00:5170 miles an hour, Southbound, I-25.

00:55270, I'm behind them.

00:56Even takeover, 218, takeover, comps, takeover, comps.

01:00We're approaching the U-Haul, pressing the U-Haul, 80 miles an hour.

01:03The U-Haul makes the left turn and heads into this residential area.

01:07Let's pull into Simons-Messor Road. Simons-Messor Road.

01:12I'll see you those parts. We're at the residential area. We're going 13 miles an hour. Let me advise you on Codd Street.

01:20The U-Haul stops short and takes off.

01:34The driver runs the stop sign and jumps the curb.

01:37Driver front car is flat.

01:41And then jumps the curb again.

01:45And again.

01:48Scratching up. Scratching up.

01:50Up ahead, another stop sign.

01:56The truck makes the left.

02:02And waiting just up the road a bit, an officer with spike strips.

02:13He goes around the spike strips and jumps the curb again.

02:16And by the way, all these speed bumps?

02:21You've got to be doing a number on the two people in the back of the truck.

02:33Up ahead, more officers await with spike strips.

02:38The tires are beginning to fall apart.

02:52You have no tires.

02:53Light traffic. Just lost the tire.

02:58Yet this U-Haul is showing no signs of slowing down.

03:01Light traffic.

03:02We're approaching on your vehicle.

03:03The truck loses control and swerves into the opposite lane.

03:11At this point, the truck practically is riding on all four rims.

03:17Up ahead, he's got a red light.

03:35The U-Haul comes to a stop and somehow squeezes through.

03:43Remember, there's two people in the back of the truck, so attempting a pit maneuver is probably

03:50not an option.

03:52Looks like the U-Haul is preparing to make a turn.

03:59But with all four flat tires, that's not going to be easy.

04:02One of the tires goes flying off, and the truck comes to a stop.

04:19The driver's refusing to exit the truck.

04:22A Santa Fe detective fires less lethal and shatters the driver's side window.

04:28The driver opens the door and surrenders.

04:34Meanwhile, the couple trapped in the back of the truck continue to make noises.

04:43They place the driver in custody as they clear the front of the truck.

04:46They slide open the back of the U-Haul.

04:55The two kidnapping victims are carefully removed from inside the truck and led to a waiting ambulance.

05:0350-year-old Stacy Walker is now facing charges of kidnapping, aggravated assault, aggravated

05:08fleeing, and leaving the scene of an accident. The two victims inside the truck later told detectives

05:13they were helping Walker clean out the back of his moving truck when suddenly he slammed that door

05:18down shut and locked him inside.
