00:00Okay gentlemen, you both have been given the rules. I'm expecting good, clean boxing. When I say break, stop punching, take a full step back. Remember, protect yourselves at all times. Touch gloves. Good luck to you both.
00:16A pair of fighters who are well-traveled in the amateur circles. An Olympian in Troy Isley and Itundi Michel William. He is a man who was born in the Ivory Coast. His father was a dignitary so he moved to Cameroon at a young age. Started boxing in Brazil at age 16 and then moved to Mexico City a few years ago.
00:41Four years ago under the tutelage of Nacho Betty Stein, the Mexican guru. And I asked him, what was the best piece of advice Nacho told you? And he says, move your head, work behind the jab, and stick the shots to the body.
00:58Yeah, spoken like a true veteran trainer. Nacho's not here. It'll be Eric Perez in the corner of Itundi.
01:06Yeah, right out the gate. You're going to see this, you know, fill-out round for both fighters.
01:14Oh! I mean, they range. Nice right hand. Just catching Isley. Just off guard a little bit. Every now and then you can get caught thinking.
01:23You know, he was thinking a little bit too long.
01:26And William caught him with that jab.
01:30Fifth fight for Troy Isley under the tutelage of Brian Fomack McIntyre.
01:36Says, they're bringing out the best in me.
01:39Every time out, it's Di Saldieguez, Red Spikes, and the entire B&B team looking to improve every aspect of this Olympians game.
01:49On his way to becoming a contender and vying for a world title shot.
01:55Mm, nice stab jab right there from Williams.
01:59You can tell he has a game plan. You know, the game plan as of right now is to box. Use those legs.
02:06Allow Isley to do a little bit of the work for him.
02:10Take a little bit. Take a little bit of risk.
02:12And also, while he's just sitting still, idling, thinking, take advantage of those holes that he presents with those guards.
02:20Tim, a 9-1⁄2-inch reach advantage. 79 inches compared to 69-1⁄2.
02:27He got a 79-inch reach?
02:29He's got a 79-inch reach.
02:31That is ridiculous. That's a heavyweight reach.
02:33Yep.
02:35And he stands six feet tall.
02:39So, you know what that means?
02:40That means that Isley's going to have to close that distance.
02:43Right now, while they're still early, a lot of energy in both fighters, I don't think it's smart for him.
02:49He's got to take his time, come behind his jab, and little by little, as the fight progresses, start applying more and more pressure to Williams.
02:57He's having a hard time finding his range because of that surprisingly long jab of Petundi at 79 inches.
03:06That's something you have to deal with.
03:07That's something you have to deal with, and he knows how to keep his distance very well.
03:11You see him step half a step back out of range right there, trying to make that body shot or stab-jab-miss.
03:16And in our call-me-in event, we're going to see Kelvin Davis, who stands six foot one.
03:23He's got a 74-inch reach.
03:25So that is five inches shorter than what this young man.
03:32And you can see how William can set up outside, far outside, and you see how Isley with the shorter arms, the distance is, they're right in front of each other,
03:40but the distance is different for William, because he can throw from a further place, whereas Isley has to really close the distance,
03:48and he don't have to do it behind quicker feet, a little slower than his feet right now.
03:54Give me my feet.
03:56Grab that bucket over there.
03:58Let's see.
04:00Hey, listen.
04:02Listen, you're doing good with your jab, but you've got to mix it up a little bit, okay?
04:07Put some water on that.
04:08What do you mean by that?
04:08Mix it up.
04:09Move it around.
04:10Throw it away sometimes.
04:11If you're trying to go to the body, throw it away.
04:14I see.
04:14He's not trying to go upstairs.
04:16He's trying to start downstairs.
04:18Yeah, and he's trying to bring that right hand behind that jab to the body.
04:21Okay.
04:21You hear me say that?
04:22Yeah.
04:22All right.
04:23So keep stepping around and keep stepping around and keep feinting, but you've got to be patient with him, okay?
04:27All right.
04:27He's trying to set you up to the left hook, okay?
04:32Keep changing your left hook.
04:33I'm sorry.
04:34I'm sorry.
04:34Okay?
04:34Don't explode.
04:35Stay patient.
04:36Keep working up your jab, okay?
04:37You know, in our fighter meetings, we asked Bomek, what's the biggest improvement you've seen in Troy?
04:46And he says, apart from all the boxing stuff, it's the questions he asked.
04:51And, Tim, what did he do in that corner?
04:53He asked questions.
04:54What do you mean by that?
04:56Yeah, I actually love that as well.
04:58I mean, because he's not only asking for guidance, he's asking for understanding, too, along with it.
05:04So let's see what materializes from that conversation in the corner in this round.
05:12It was a really good round from William that last round, or let's just say the first round.
05:17Really good round.
05:18I think we're going to start the round.
05:19Let's see what happens.
05:21Let's see.
05:22Let's see.
05:22that generation of brazilian fighters because that's where he did the bulk of his amateur
05:27fighting uh i'm talking about hopes on gonseca the eventual gold medalist esquiva falcao so
05:35that's the guy that he came up with in the brazilian amateur system
05:44there you see the stab jab that bumack was asking from eisley yeah but you see what the change is
05:50is that it's not a flicking jab he's actually taking a deeper penetration step to be able to
05:57be able to land on williams he has this danger right well it does come with some danger if william
06:04can make him pay when maybe an uppercut if he's leaning forward absolutely but then tim having
06:10the longer arm sometimes you have to loop it a little bit longer a little bit more and if
06:16either can get inside and make him not have that advantage anymore that could work in his favor
06:28the body shots downstairs again all william is doing is he's just look he's paying attention
06:33downstairs that's it that's what he wants and he's trying to he's trying to siphon the gas tank
06:38of eisley that's what he's trying to do he's trying to take some of the steam off of his punches
06:42he's thinking about the longer haul of this fight thinking about the latter half of this fight
06:49that's what he's investing in right now and as long as eisley stay at that range right here oh
06:55he's gonna hit with a shot he got hit with a hey that buzzed him a little bit momentarily now i'm not
06:59saying he was hurt i'm just saying it buzzed him meaning that his head he felt absolutely you take that
07:06you answer and see and that's how you see you land on eisley he want that get back he want that get
07:12back and i think he just found the key right now the key is he gotta take deeper steps he needs to
07:21work that body he needs to work from the body up that's what he needs to do that's the key but he
07:25needs to push on the pace a little bit more take a little bit more chances
07:29and look that he may have the reach advantage but william gives up his height and that love jab
07:36worked for troy eisley in that series
07:43you know like i like those feints coming from my day as well you know you never want to
07:47you don't want your opponent to know when you're going to attack so you keep switching up your rhythm
07:50like he's doing right here now he's on the pendulum bounce right now and it's starting to work a little
07:54bit nice nice jeremiah nacatira the namibian police officer from windhook well he is looking for his first
08:11win against an undefeated opponent couldn't do it against shakur in a world title shot couldn't do it
08:17against raymond murataya who's now world champion couldn't do it against ernesto mercado one of
08:23tim bradley's top five double stamp prospects in the game today he number two right now and now
08:28he gets abdulla mason who's off that list because now he is a world championship contender so look
08:34what do you expect from nacatira tonight tim look if he came here to win he can be a problem yeah you
08:39know but he got to let his hands go he got dynamite in that right hand he's fighting the southpaw so he's
08:44going to need to throw that right hand and he's going to need to throw it often but at the same time
08:48he's got to pay attention to defense because he's in there with a fighter that likes offense to come
08:54he don't mind it coming because he's able to slip in between that offense to land his offense
08:59and knock out his opposition so look it's a double-edged sword tonight for him however i'm trying to catch
09:05you before you catch me so i'm gonna let my hands go that is tonight's main event jeremiah nacatira the
09:11former world title challenger stepping in against abdulla mason after the wbco lightweight world title
09:19was vacated by queshawn davis and his fight against edwin de los santos was cancelled when queshawn
09:26missed weight by 4.3 pounds eisley and william had no problem making weight and here they are in round
09:33three of a scheduled 10 round fight the third scheduled 10 rounder for the olympian troy eisley
09:40who continues to get better and better every time out
09:47as he's getting a little bit more busier with his offense again taking those deep penetration
09:52steps to be able to close distance right there you saw williams had something waiting on him
09:58as he reached in
10:01but see it's gonna be about the second level of attack rising what i mean by that is like that's
10:07the first level but then you need to do something else you know to be able to get a little bit
10:12closer to your opposition maybe slip your head outside like that there you go nice little slip
10:19outside so flick the jab out there get him to commit then have something again a bag of tricks have
10:24something in your back pocket so that way you can step in work your offense after giving them just
10:30something to look at so he's giving them something to look at now just so i can explain myself oh
10:36give him something to look at now when he reacts eyes they need to have something in his back pocket
10:41he needs to have a counter in his back pocket counter his reaction that second that's second level
10:47attack stop nothing no no content get out of here totally able to slip that right hand that
10:55Troy isley was trying to set up behind that throwaway jab nice combination on the inside from william
11:02you got to cross that threshold and that's where
11:06isley's got to commit and william is trying to catch him there get right to the body from isley
11:13there you go oh there the uppercut i was waiting on that uppercut from williams
11:19he hadn't thrown it all night i didn't know if he had one in his bag but yes he does have an uppercut
11:25catching eyes he's spitting that guard as isley move leaned a little bit forward in that tie high guard
11:36oh nasty change up is he thought a jab was coming no williams threw that left hook out of nowhere
11:45you know how to start to fall in love with boxing how his father he would tell him stories about a
11:58fighter who could kill a man with his fists oh his name was mike tyson and now more people wrote a book
12:06about him that's amazing all right we're going to go over to the blue corner listening to eric bettis
12:11as baz goes in there to work as well
12:13oh
12:21oh
12:23Why aren't you throwing more punches?
12:30When you went to the ropes, your feet combinations landed.
12:37To me, what 2D William is using is his reach.
12:42And it's worth for him so far.
12:43Oh, absolutely.
12:44I mean, look, it's a slow-paced fight.
12:46It's not a fast-paced fight.
12:48You know, Troy Isley hasn't sold out yet.
12:51You know, he's staying behind, you know, at the safe distance.
12:54But you see William right here.
12:56He's using that 79-inch reach.
12:58And what I like about it is he's starting low with that shot.
13:02And you know what?
13:03He's trying to set up something big over the top.
13:05But, yeah, he has some early success, man.
13:08Let's see if Troy Isley can make any type of adjustments, man.
13:12You know, these rounds are very close.
13:15I got a 2-1 in favor of Itundi Michelle Williams,
13:20the first and the third in his favor.
13:21The second one was a great adjustment round from Troy Isley.
13:25The corner of William wants him to be a lot more active here in the fourth round.
13:38Let's see if he listens.
13:39That's a nice 1-2 from Troy Isley.
13:41Yeah, it was something other than just a single jab.
13:44It was a follow-up shot.
13:46And that's what Isley needs to do a little bit more of.
13:49Following up with punches.
13:51I mean, William just touched something long-distance.
14:09Man, those arms are something different.
14:11Man, what was the guy from the Street Fighter?
14:14I don't know.
14:15That had the long arms where he can hit you from way across the screen.
14:19That's exactly what he's facing right now.
14:22So, it's like those long arms are deceptive because he's like,
14:26I think I'm out of range, you know.
14:29I'm far out at range.
14:30I think I'm out of range.
14:32I don't think he can touch me and then, boom, he gets hit with a shot.
14:37So deceiving, man.
14:42But I tell you this, once you do close that distance
14:45and once you do put yourself out there,
14:48you've got to slide in a little bit closer
14:51because if you pull out from that range, pause, pull from that range,
14:56guess what?
14:57You're going to be in harm's way, right?
14:58There you go.
14:59Exactly, exactly.
15:00Work those combinations, stay close.
15:02But again, don't pull straight back after you work the combinations
15:05because he's going to lift you up like that.
15:07You've got to go in and get a little bit closer to him
15:11so that way he can't extend with those arms.
15:13Work clean, work clean, work clean.
15:15Let him go, let him go.
15:16Stop!
15:17You have him there.
15:18You've got to throw punches.
15:19He tied him up right there.
15:20Good tactic right there from Williams.
15:23Ooh.
15:24Nice left hook.
15:25Both traded left hook.
15:27Yeah.
15:28I think right now, you see a fighter step back like that.
15:39He's taking a walk.
15:40That means he's regrouping.
15:42Nice.
15:43But he's regrouped with two right hands there, Tim.
15:45It was him thinking right there, okay, that's not working.
15:48What do I have to do to get inside?
15:50Oh, that was just a small minor changeup.
15:52When you see Isley when he just stepped back, got his distance,
15:55walked a little bit, you know, bounced around a little bit.
15:59Good counter left there.
16:02Just saw Williams fall asleep a little bit, man.
16:04Yeah.
16:05Just for a second, that's all it takes.
16:06And Isley was right there.
16:07Oh, that's a nice right hand.
16:08And that's what I'm saying, not pulling straight back, right?
16:10Yeah.
16:11Pulling back, he's going to get hit every single time.
16:13He got to step in.
16:14All right.
16:15Dillon Mason, he's got a belt, but he wants more eight straight
16:19knockout victories.
16:20At the press conference this week, he got caught off guard by Keyshawn
16:23Davis who said, you want next?
16:25Well, he's fighting tonight in the main event in Keyshawn's hometown.
16:30This is what the confrontation looked like.
16:33So what you want to do?
16:35I'm working my way up.
16:37I'm right here.
16:38So after you beat him, what you want to do?
16:40Uh.
16:41Uh.
16:42We could do whatever, you know.
16:45I'm pretty sure.
16:46My team could play anything together.
16:48Are you going to put it together, sir?
16:49You the man in there.
16:51I want to talk to you right now.
16:53I bet you don't.
16:54But I let my hands do the talking, so.
16:56So let's do it next.
16:57Let's do it next.
16:58Okay.
16:59Let's make my team accommodate that.
17:00No, no, no.
17:01Let me and you, let's make it happen right now.
17:02In front of everybody.
17:03After I knocked Dele Santos out.
17:04After you knocked this opponent out.
17:06Me and you, let's fight next.
17:08Let's do it.
17:09That's what I'm here for.
17:10You're here to fight me next.
17:11He said that's what I came for.
17:12That's a bet.
17:16The reality is, Abdullah will let his hands do the talking tonight.
17:20And all that talking that Keyshawn did, he missed weight by 4.3 pounds.
17:25His title defense in front of his hometown fans was camped.
17:28I was 4.3 pounds of rubbish.
17:31That's what that was.
17:32Two, you're not concentrated.
17:35You're not, I mean, you're not focused on what's in front of you.
17:38You're trying to make a fight already.
17:39Come on, man.
17:40You know, that tells me right there.
17:42He wasn't focused, man.
17:43You know, I remember when I didn't make, well, I made the weight.
17:47But the 10 pounds when I was over is because I wasn't disciplined in camp.
17:52That's the reason why I was 10 pounds over.
17:56I don't think Keyshawn was as disciplined as he needed to be for De Los Santos.
18:01I think he thought, I think he thought he was going to take the fight.
18:03I'm telling you, man.
18:04No, he believed 100% that because of the fact that De Los Santos had been out for almost
18:09two years, he was going to be desperate for money.
18:12Yeah.
18:13And he knew what was going to happen.
18:16Absolutely.
18:17Because he paid the stop, or Lemus paid him 20% of his purse in order for the fight to
18:21happen because he came in seven pounds over against Keyshawn Davis in November in this
18:26same building, and he got knocked out by Keyshawn.
18:29And this time around, the team of De Los Santos says, hey, we're going to get paid anyway.
18:35And Samson Lukowicz did a great job at negotiating and making sure he took care of his fighter.
18:40He told me, look, De Los Santos' health was more important for me because every one of my
18:46fighters, they're not just my fighters.
18:48I think I treat them like my children.
18:51Key is calculating.
18:53They call him the business, man.
18:55Yeah.
18:56Trust me, man.
18:57He knew exactly what he was doing.
18:59But he miscalculated this.
19:00It was a miscalculation, and it was a lack of focus during training camp.
19:06The reason why he missed this weight.
19:09And I don't care what anybody said.
19:12That's what it was.
19:13And Tim, there's levels.
19:16Every time you miss weight, it's disrespectful.
19:18Any time you can come in .3, .5 over, it's considered disrespectful by the opponents by the
19:24sport.
19:25Yeah.
19:262.3 is egregious.
19:27It's beyond egregious.
19:28It's beyond egregious.
19:29It's beyond egregious.
19:30And that's why he's being panned on social media because people understand that.
19:35Crawford, they never miss weight.
19:38I don't believe Mayweather's ever missed weight.
19:42I mean, the top guys out there don't miss weight, man.
19:47Because you know how important it is.
19:48Man, this is turning into a hell of a fight right now, man.
19:50I'm hearing some leather being landed.
19:53Looked away momentarily just to speak to you, Bernardo, but they're training some leather.
19:58They sure are.
20:03He landed some left hooks here in round five.
20:09We'll listen in to Brian Fomack McIntyre here between rounds five and six to see what adjustments
20:16he wants to continue seeing from Troy Isley after a solid round.
20:22Hey.
20:23Hey.
20:24Hey.
20:25Beautiful.
20:26That was a good round.
20:27All right?
20:28You box the first part of the round.
20:29You got to box a little bit better, though.
20:30Okay?
20:31All right?
20:32Don't stand in front of them.
20:33Don't go straight back.
20:34Reset yourself.
20:35Keep your hands up.
20:36All right?
20:37The end of the round, when you hear incline, you know those.
20:39Pick it up a little bit and push him.
20:40Okay?
20:41All right?
20:42Don't stand in front of them.
20:43Don't go straight back.
20:44Rest yourself.
20:45Keep your hands up.
20:46All right?
20:47Yeah.
20:48The end of the round, when you hear incline, you know those.
20:51Pick it up a little bit and push him.
20:52Okay?
20:53All right.
20:54How you feel?
20:55Good.
20:56Feel good?
20:57Yeah.
20:58Is he hurting you any?
20:59Nothing?
21:00None of the shots?
21:01All right, dude.
21:02Keep your hands tight on the inside and they got to be short shots.
21:04Short shots.
21:05They got to be combinations.
21:08Off the jack.
21:09He's grabbing it.
21:10All right, well, you got to work on the inside.
21:13You got to work on the inside.
21:15Hey, hey, you hear that incline, you know what I mean?
21:17They'll pick it up.
21:17You see his eye?
21:18Yeah.
21:22I like that last comment at the end.
21:24Did you see his eye?
21:25Did you see his eye?
21:27You look for any little advantage you can get inside the ring,
21:30especially where you're at a disadvantage of nine and a half inches in reach,
21:35but you see how well Troy has been able to close that gap.
21:39Yeah, Troy, hey, this is more of a difficult fight than what I believe Troy was expected.
21:46You know, Williams, you got a plan.
21:49He's executing it as well.
21:50He's looking good, and Troy is having a hard time dealing with that reach
21:54and the timing of Williams.
21:57Williams seemed to have really good timing.
21:59He's placing his shots extremely well.
22:01Look, he's changing up his rhythm.
22:02He's fainting.
22:03He's looking left.
22:03He's looking right.
22:04He's setting these little pre-little traps, you know, pre-slips.
22:07You see his head off to the right, left.
22:09I mean, he's doing a lot in there, giving Troy a lot to deal with.
22:13You know, Williams is coming off of his first professional loss.
22:16That was a 10-round unanimous decision against Jose Borrego in October of last year,
22:21and he was actually dropped in the fifth round.
22:24Oh, nice hovercraft.
22:25He's up around six, and he tired late in that fight.
22:27So we'll see if Troy Isaac can take him into deep water here.
22:31Have you noticed that it's the second shot that ball has been landing for Troy?
22:36Yep.
22:36Not the first shot.
22:37The first shot is the...
22:40The distractor.
22:41The distractor, right?
22:42Yeah.
22:43It's like the flare.
22:44The second shot.
22:46He's close enough to land.
22:48Troy's doing a good job in locating that right hand.
22:52And the reason why he's able to land it is it's just simple.
22:56His hand is higher than the lead hand of Williams.
23:01Anytime Williams' lead hand is low, you can hit him with a right hand.
23:06A lot of Williams' eyes, these shots are landing on the gloves of Williams.
23:14Williams trying to poach here in this sixth round.
23:17Make Isley commit and make him pay.
23:20Well, Isley's finding a smart fight and connects with that right hand.
23:23Yep.
23:25But he needs a jab.
23:26Yeah.
23:31Good defense right there from Isley.
23:34That's a really good...
23:34Good.
23:35That's a good chess match.
23:36Just turned it into a...
23:37Really good chess match.
23:39Let it down.
23:40Go to the jab.
23:40Nice left over from...
23:42Troy Isley.
23:43Good.
23:44Had something in his bag.
23:45Isley's kick down low.
23:47Came up with the left hook.
23:48Catching Williams.
23:53Nice body shot right to the body from Isley.
23:57See, in the momentum, Isley's starting to get confidence now.
24:00He's gaining more and more confidence.
24:01So, Williams is up to Williams right now to take the play back.
24:12He's got to take the play back.
24:13He has to do something because that's confidence right here.
24:15You don't want that to come into the next round for Isley.
24:20That's a trip.
24:22That's what Williams is trying to do.
24:23You see, he's trying to get some get back right now before the round end.
24:26Yep.
24:27Let's listen in to the corner of the 2nd, Michelle Williams.
24:30The bucket.
24:40As of me right now, you're losing this fight.
24:43You're on the road.
24:44You have to be more decisive and stop doing that crap of keeping your hands down.
24:49That's why you got hit.
24:50You lost this round easily.
24:51You're throwing combinations, but you're just throwing one, two at a time.
24:55We're not going to win that fight going this way.
24:58One, two, two shots every time he comes at you.
25:04I need you to be more decisive.
25:06Come on.
25:06This is your fight.
25:08Come on, chocolate.
25:10He's hot to chocolate.
25:12They call him hot chocolate?
25:13Just chocolate.
25:14Oh, chocolate?
25:15Yeah, man.
25:16What do you think about the fact that they are frustrated by the fact that he's not throwing
25:20more combinations, more flurries?
25:23Well, any time he throws punches, he's going to expect something to come back.
25:27Round seven.
25:28You know, Iseley's really showing, you know, really digging into his bag tonight, man,
25:32and really showing different departments of his game.
25:35You know, counter punching, you know, boxing outside, getting in the inside, you know,
25:41working down low, sneaking with shots up top as well.
25:45He landed some sneaky right hands over the top as well.
25:49Iseley's giving him something to worry about.
25:51In the other corner, it was Bomek saying,
25:55I want you to box him in the first half of the round, and then I want you to press him.
26:00When you press him, you're having success.
26:03Let's see if Troy is able to do that here in round seven of a scheduled ten round fight.
26:07And I think, for me, even though the corner of Petuny sees it as him losing because they're on the road,
26:14it wasn't surprising if it's a 3-3 fight coming into the seventh.
26:17But I do like the adjustments that Troy Iseley's been able to make throughout this fight.
26:25Again, it's the second punch.
26:27It's not the first punch.
26:28It's the second punch.
26:30You've got to distract him to be able to move those feet a little bit closer.
26:32And as you're moving forward, you've got to locate those targets, those openings.
26:39Iseley's done that to some degree throughout this fight.
26:43I would love to see a little bit more moving forward.
26:46Look, this is a type of fight.
26:51Iseley comes out on top.
26:53This is going to teach him a lot because I don't think he's going to fight another fighter with a 79-inch reach, man.
26:58No, not at all.
26:59I mean, he's done.
27:00He does with a 74-inch reach sparring against Crawford.
27:04For the 79, this is next level.
27:06Nice right hand.
27:07Oh, let's exchange left hooks on the inside.
27:10Oh, nice counter again by Iseley.
27:13Swimble jack.
27:14Oh, right hand.
27:15Iseley's starting to find his rhythm in timing now.
27:20He understands the sequences of Williams now.
27:23Let's see if he compresses him.
27:25Oh, nice right hand to the midsection.
27:29Willem is shy about throwing his shots now.
27:32He wants to keep his hands at home.
27:35Nice right hand.
27:36He heard him with that.
27:37Three-punch combination now, right uppercut from Iseley.
27:43No, no, no, no.
27:44Keep it clean.
27:44The corner of Willem yells, throw, punches, throw.
27:49Nice body shot.
27:51Yeah, Williams don't like it downstairs.
27:53He does not like it downstairs.
27:55Iseley will benefit.
27:59We're going a little bit more downstairs to that body of Williams.
28:01And the mistake Willem made in that combination, or in that sequence, was he looked over the referee and Malik will lead, hey, help me out here.
28:09And he says, punch out of it.
28:11So that's what Iseley did.
28:13To take this off at all times, that's what that's called.
28:15You've got to depend on yourself inside that ring.
28:19I know there's a referee that's present, but you've got to depend on yourself.
28:22But he hadn't yelled breaks, so William was, he was fair game.
28:27And Iseley took advantage of that good angle there from Troy Iseley here.
28:30It closed out an excellent seventh round for him.
28:32That's a definitive round right there for Iseley, for sure.
28:37Oh, shit.
28:39Hey.
28:40Yeah.
28:41How do you feel?
28:41Good job.
28:49Little cut over the left eyelid of Troy Iseley.
28:53Mm-hmm.
28:58Nothing he has to worry about, Bernardo.
29:02Yeah.
29:06We've lost Lomax Mike, but you see the cut there over the left eyelid of Troy Iseley.
29:12He's doing a good job.
29:17Small little abrasion over that eye, huh?
29:21It's actually a little cut, but it's not.
29:22Yeah, it's not a big.
29:24It's not a deep cut.
29:25All right.
29:26Second zone.
29:27Is that round?
29:28Is that eight?
29:29It's a little bit off to the side, too.
29:30Round eight.
29:31Round eight.
29:32Mouthings, let me see it.
29:35Let me see Mouthings.
29:37Okay.
29:37Round eight of a scheduled 10 round fight.
29:39Third scheduled 10 rounder for Troy Iseley against Itundi Michelle William,
29:46the well-traveled Ivory Coast-born fighter.
29:49Whoa.
29:50Takes a nice right from him.
29:51Nice right hand.
29:52Troy Iseley.
29:53Oh, Iseley's trying to open up.
29:58He's definitely starting to locate the target, moving a little faster this round.
30:01Letting his hands go.
30:03Let him go.
30:03Let him go.
30:03Let him go.
30:04Let him go.
30:04And placing those shots well.
30:06And Tim, we talked about the loss.
30:10And William's coming off against Jose Borrego.
30:13He tired as the fight progresses.
30:15We're seeing a little bit of that here.
30:17And Iseley keeps getting stronger and stronger.
30:19No, no, no.
30:21You have all that muscle.
30:23You've got to be in extreme condition.
30:25You've got to do a little bit more.
30:27Yeah, I know about that.
30:28I wouldn't.
30:29And, you know, Iseley, they say he's a hard worker inside the gym.
30:32You've got to slow him down.
30:34You've got to tell him no more, Mr. Iseley.
30:39That's a good habit to have, to be that workforce.
30:43I don't know.
30:57I get the feeling that Williams, he's, yeah, he's starting to slow down.
31:00He's starting to feel the pace now.
31:01He's starting to feel some of these punches.
31:04Nice, nice.
31:06That was a nice uppercut counter from William.
31:09But I feel like he's kind of, like, stalled.
31:11And, you know, he's trying to okey-doke Iseley.
31:14You know, Iseley, I feel like he should step on the gas a little bit more,
31:17take a little bit more chances.
31:18He's already been hit with the biggest shot so far from Williams.
31:22Uppercut, he got hit with a right hand as well, and a left hook.
31:25He's taking them well.
31:28Right and great left counter from Iseley.
31:33But I would love for Iseley to, again, close the distance, come behind.
31:37It's the second and third shot that is going to land and let his hands go.
31:40Stay right there.
31:41Stay home.
31:42Don't allow him to tie him up either and work his offense.
31:50See all that posturing from Williams?
31:52It almost seems to me he's just trying to get through.
31:56Just trying to get through the rounds.
31:57Look at the glory from Iseley and Williams hits the gloves.
32:07That's exactly, see right there, that distance right there,
32:10that's exactly where Iseley want to be, but he got to let those hands go.
32:14Williams is right there trying to catch his shoe.
32:16He needs to let those hands go.
32:17He's going into my head.
32:19Hey, give him up.
32:20Let's go.
32:21A little low blow right there.
32:25Murphy, Malik, will lead assertive here in the eighth round.
32:28A good round for Iseley, but he gets caught at the end by a combination.
32:33Because he stepped out of range.
32:35Like he stepped, he was in close.
32:37Like you can't be in close like that and step back out of range,
32:40especially with a guy with a 79-inch reach.
32:42You just can't do that.
32:44You either exit the sides or you stay still.
32:46Hey, I'm going to give him that round, okay?
32:50All right?
32:50But listen, we've got two more rounds to go, all right?
32:53You've got to fight him on the inside, okay?
32:55You've got to fight him on the inside.
32:57You've got to press him.
32:58Take it to the inside and keep banging that body and coming upstairs, okay?
33:03Watch how you roll out.
33:04Watch how you pull out.
33:05How you feel?
33:06All right?
33:06We've seen the pitfalls pulling straight back.
33:10And Troy Iseley did exactly this here.
33:13Look, you can pull back, but you've got to be at the proper range.
33:15But when you're this close to your opposition,
33:17and he's got long arms like that, he's getting out of range.
33:20Look, boom.
33:20Oh, okay, I'm going to follow you out.
33:22He's up in the air.
33:24Think about that.
33:25Your feet are not underneath you.
33:27Your feet are not set to punch.
33:29What Iseley needs to do is just stay right there,
33:32get his head off to the side,
33:33either smother or exit to the side like a Lomachenko.
33:37Nice little step around.
33:38And these are the situations you'll see where it was a solid round for Troy Iseley,
33:44but it was close enough.
33:45And then that type of flurry, that's why the first thing Bommack said,
33:48look, we're going to give him this round,
33:50but I need you to get on the inside in these last two.
33:54Absolutely.
33:55You can't leave it to chance, man.
33:57You've got to go in there and you've got to show these judges that you're here to win.
34:02He's not going to win the jab for jab battle against Ketundi William here.
34:20So trials, he needs to find a way inside.
34:22That's where he's had his most success in this fight.
34:24Keep it clean.
34:25Stay off the side.
34:25Yeah, and any time you see that lead hand low,
34:27you've got to do it, shoot the jab,
34:30and come right behind with the right hand.
34:32He's going to land every single time.
34:34Love to see Ozzie change levels a little bit with that jab as well.
34:55As soon as I say that, you see William's stab jab from not at range.
35:02There we go.
35:04There's a nice right hand from Troy Isley.
35:09It's going to come down to who wants it more.
35:11Doubtless stretched the last four and a half minutes of this fight.
35:15Nice jab again from Isley.
35:18See, any time Isley throw the one-two, just look at the feet of Williams.
35:22He squares up.
35:24You know, he almost like shifts his lead foot back with his right foot.
35:28He's not in position to really throw and land any punches.
35:31He's not in position to really throw and land any punches, so keep attacking him.
35:35Those are moments where he's vulnerable.
35:38Ozzie has to recognize that.
35:40This round's up for grabs.
35:57the body shot again right there
36:09that's been working all night for Williams the body work
36:15ooh nice one two there from Troy
36:16somebody needs to put a step of authority here on this round in the last 20 seconds
36:22and asking William but all your shots let your hands go he gave his hands right
36:33there he just keeps his hands tucked in referee that has to step in or let let
36:38him fight out of it hey he said work that's what he said he said work
36:44all right let's listen in to it to the Michelle Williams corner momentarily
36:50last round
36:53either he go
36:56he's not stopping the fight and he's landing those shots
37:04you gotta watch out stay alert you gotta keep throwing punches downstairs
37:10when you're tied up go downstairs
37:17you gotta watch him go
37:19watch him and keep your defense tight move the jab around and work off the jab
37:24all right if you get close to him
37:28you get close to him let your hands go on the inside
37:32wow that's listening to the fighter
37:39you know the fighter's in there and he feels what's coming at him
37:43and I just said I don't feel comfortable getting close to him
37:48what he's worried about is not seeing that uppercut
37:52that's what he's worried about
37:54a lot of times you say get inside the long arms
38:01because he won't be able to get around but he's seen that
38:04Williams uppercuts are tricky
38:06yes
38:07oh that's a long lead right too from Williams so you gotta pick your poison
38:11again this is a this is a tough fight for Isley
38:20I didn't think it was gonna be that tough
38:23but you can't depend on your opposition
38:26I've learned to be weak for you to be strong one
38:30and what you see on film
38:32you get an understanding of what you're gonna be up against
38:35but don't think you gonna see that particular man inside the ring
38:39with you
38:40and Tim when we were
38:42seeing our research box strike and what not
38:45there was no reach for Attundee
38:47I had no idea how to settle
38:49nice uppercut
38:50till right now
38:51nice uppercut
38:52I don't think he did
38:54I don't think he did either
38:56no one will
38:58Attundee getting his ducks
39:00can't go here
39:02mmm
39:04all right
39:07that's a nice flurry
39:08some of those blocks
39:09that's what you want to see
39:11your eyes these corner
39:13absolutely
39:14even if they're black
39:17if William doesn't offer much
39:19those are the type of flurries that can win you this final run
39:22and William and Williams is a better inside fighter than I thought as well
39:26I mean Andy's got a little speed on the inside as well
39:29letting those combinations go
39:30from close
39:31being close
39:32being at a close range
39:35it's rarity right like a rafael espinoza is the rare long arm tall guy who has those lightning quick inside combinations
39:43exactly
39:44exactly
39:45you don't expect that from a long fighter
39:48nice right hand
39:50nice right hand nice spin from Isley creates an angle and then lands the right hand you see the blood trickling outside the left eye not going into the eye
40:05nice
40:07and William apart from being
40:08having a 79 inch reach he's leaping in as well
40:10with uppercuts
40:11like Navarrete
40:12I think
40:19but I'm looking for Troy to step it up
40:22cause look he don't like it on the inside but he getting he getting killed on the outside too
40:26so he said I'm not comfortable on the inside so you're not going to be comfortable from the outside even
40:33I can see Troy
40:34great
40:35get him
40:36get him
40:3710 seconds left in this 10th and final round the fight could be in the balance
40:42sure as the undefeated in 14 fights at Tundi 16 and 1 with 12 knockouts and
40:49look
40:50I'm going to be very curious to see what the judges appreciated in this particular match
40:56how do you score this match I didn't score it so I can't you know
41:00I know the fight seems close to me
41:02it's either 6-4 for a Tundi or 5-5
41:05yeah
41:06yeah
41:07let's take a look at why it seems like a close fight
41:10man look at them long arms that's why
41:12those long arms of Williams was a problem tonight
41:16you know that's hard to train for
41:18I mean I don't know many guys this size
41:21with that reach
41:23and I don't think Isley was expecting that either
41:26and not even his coaches
41:28however I mean look
41:30they were going back and forth
41:32each guy I believe had their moment
41:33you know Isley would get on the inside
41:35and when he would attack with the second shot
41:38he was landing that right hand
41:40anytime he saw Williams lead hand down
41:43he was able to land that right hand
41:45but again when he's too close
41:47and pulling straight back with a man with a 79 inch reach
41:50you asking for problems
41:52so look
41:53he should have been in the inside
41:55I think the quicker hand
41:57shorter combination puncher
41:59I think he would have you know benefited from that a little bit more
42:02however he chose to stay outside
42:04and it favored I believe Williams
42:06you know for the majority of this fight
42:08but we'll see what the judges have man
42:10William showed up man
42:12he showed up to fight
42:13absolutely
42:14Doug
42:15he says Nacho Beres saying couldn't be here
42:17but this is the type of stuff you learn
42:20it's hard for him to get good sparring in Mexico
42:23as both Vomack and Troazzi come over and show sportsmanship
42:27to the fighter from Mexico
42:31out of Cameroon
42:33Ivory Coast
42:34Brazil
42:35this guy's been everywhere
42:37and he's not afraid of anything
42:39and tonight he proved it against Troy Isley
42:42who looks to continue unbeaten in this fight
42:46but the judges are still tallying up the scorecards
42:50and that's not ever good to me
42:53when they take this long to add him up
42:55no I mean but look
42:57he's from Virginia right
43:00so he might have some kind of pull
43:02you know boxing his speaker like that
43:04it's weird like that so
43:06but uh
43:07I thought it was a decent fight man
43:09I really do
43:10I thought it was a real decent fight
43:12very tactical fight by both men
43:15alright
43:17what
43:18do the judges have on their official scorecards
43:21Michael C. Williams
43:22the only man
43:24with those numbers in his hands
43:25go ahead Michael
43:26ladies and gentlemen
43:28having gone the distance
43:29we'll go now
43:30to your three judges at ringside
43:32your first judge Brian Costello
43:34scores the fight 98 to 92
43:37well judges Paul Wallace and Dave Braslow
43:40see the fight the same
43:4296 to 94
43:44all have it for the winner by
43:47unanimous decision
43:50and still
43:52NABO middleweight champion
43:55Troy
43:56the transformer
43:58Isley
44:01got no problem with 96 94
44:03yeah
44:0498 92
44:05I don't see how that happened for you
44:07I don't see that either
44:08alright tonight's made
44:09all right
44:10tonight's made
