00:04There was a big story over the weekend, I guess.

00:11Not that we didn't know he was going to do that already.

00:31Every single job that opens up in basketball,

00:35Jay Wright is at the head of the list of people that,

00:38let me tell you what, aren't going to take the job.

00:42This guy is not coaching again.

00:44He's not coaching in the NBA.

00:46He's not coaching in college.

00:47He makes millions working on CBS one day a week.

00:50He's got the cushiest gig in the country, loving life.

00:55They pay me millions to talk about college basketball on Saturdays.

00:58And then what?

00:59I do the NCAA tournament for three weeks and make millions.

01:04And all I do is sit in a studio and talk college basketball.

01:07Who wouldn't sign up for that?

01:09Who wants the stress of a job in the NBA or in college with the NIL now?

01:16The kids make more than the head coach, the players.

01:19Now they've agreed to pay college athletes finally after the judge made the decision Friday.

01:25And they're going to go back pay for about $2.8 billion from players from 2016 on and pay them.

01:31Why in God's name?

01:33You wonder why all these guys quit coaching college basketball?

01:36Because they can't deal with it.

01:39They can't deal with what it's become.

01:41It's a disaster.

01:42Jay Wright for every job.

01:43Can we stop with the Jay Wright for every job?

01:48You know what I mean?

01:49Like, it's just painful.

01:51It's going to be the same thing.

01:54And it's going to turn out the same way.

01:56For the first 15 years, Cowher retired from the Steelers.

02:00Every single job that opened up was, Bill Cowher's in the mix for this job.

02:05Bill, and you want to know what?

02:06Bill never left because he's like, why the hell would I leave this cushy gig that I've got?

02:11And now so much time has gone by that you finally don't hear Bill Cowher for every NFL job that opens up.

02:17The same thing is going to happen to Jay.

02:19He's going to have to do this for like 10, 12 years where everybody thinks he's going to take every job.

02:25And then eventually he's going to be still the one laughing with all his money and his tan and going, suckers.

02:30I'm still sitting here just calling games with no stress.

02:33The guy does address magnificently, I have to say.

02:38Oh, and one other thing on the Knick coaching search.

02:42I saw this thing today from that Wendorce and ESPN.

02:45Mutual intrigue on both sides between Jason Kidd and the Knicks.

02:50So, mutual interest on both sides.

02:52Okay, so you know what I would do if I were Dallas?

02:55I would slam the door on this and just get out in front of it and end it already.
