00:09Edinburgh family left with nothing after flat blaze's fundraiser launched.

00:14An Edinburgh family has been left with nothing after a huge blaze ripped through their flat while they were on holiday.

00:20No one was injured in the blaze, which broke out shortly before 11pm on Friday, June 6th,

00:25but the flames engulfed two flats and left several others badly damaged.

00:31Fundraiser has now been launched to help the family rebuild their lives following the fire.

00:37Pensioner dies at scene of rush hour crash with another taken to hospital.

00:41A pensioner has died and another has been taken to hospital after a rush hour crash in West Lothian.

00:47Police were called to Blaybury Hill Road in Whitburn shortly before 6pm on Friday, June 6th.

00:51Despite the efforts of paramedics to save his life, the 71-year-old driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

00:59A 74-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the car, was taken to hospital.

01:03Police are now investigating the cause of the crash and are asking anyone with information or dashcam footage to get in touch with officers.

01:12Man injured in late night hit and run as police ask witnesses to come forward.

01:16A man is being treated in hospital after a late night hit and run left him injured.

01:21The 43-year-old was in Park Road at around 1.20am on Sunday, June 8th, when he was struck by a silver older style SUV.

01:29The driver then left the scene.

01:32Detective Sergeant Gary Moran said,

01:34Our enquiries are at an early stage to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this incident and trace the driver and the car involved.
