00:10Police hunt white van driver following hit and run crash in East Lothian.

00:14Police are hunting a white van driver who is believed to have been driving dangerously moments before a hit and run crash.

00:21At around 4.30 on Friday, November 22nd, police received reports of a small white van driving dangerously

00:28on the A199 between Wallyford and Tranent.

00:33A short time later it is understood that the van collided with a car and failed to stop.

00:38East Lothian police are now appealing for information.

00:41Police Constable Frances Stevenson said

00:44I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward or who saw the van driving dangerously.

00:50The van could potentially have damage to the front offside and be marked with grey paint.

00:54Motorists who are in the area with dashcam footage should also get in touch.
