00:00After a second day of violent protests against his immigration policies,
00:11Trump has ordered 2,000 national guard troops to take on the streets of Los Angeles.
00:17It came after protesters clashed with federal immigration officers on Saturday
00:22who were conducting business raids in Big Island, which is on the outskirts of the city.
00:26The demonstrators outside an industrial park, some of whom had vandalized federal vehicles,
00:32were dispersed by Border Patrol officers wearing riot gear and masks who used flashbang grenades and tear gas.
00:39As they demanded that officers from Operation and Customs Enforcement, IC, get out of Paramount,
00:45activists used cement blocks and shopping carts to block the road from Jirudan.
00:50They also shouted,
00:51We see you for what you are, and you are not what you are.
00:55No human being is illegal, was written on one hand-held sign.
01:00On his Truth Social platform, the U.S. president also stated that
01:04the federal government will step in and solve the problem
01:07if Mr. Newsom and the Los Angeles mayor can't do their jobs, which everyone knows they can't.
01:14In the meantime, the U.S. Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth,
01:18stated that if the violence persisted, he would think about sending Marines from Camp Pendleton, which is nearby.
01:23This is about enforcing the law, and again, we're not going to apologize for doing it,
01:29White House boarders are Tom Homan told Fox News.
01:33It comes after a protest on Friday night outside a detention center in downtown Los Angeles,
01:38at which dozens of people demonstrated against a series of earlier-in-the-day ICE raids on workplaces.
01:44After conducting searches in a variety of locations, including a clothing warehouse in the city's fashion district,
01:51ICE earlier on Friday detained 40 individuals.
01:55However, a tense scene ensued as a crowd attempted to prevent agents from leaving.
02:00People had also been taken into custody, according to advocates for immigrants' rights,
02:05after being stopped by ICE-y officers outside donut shops and Home Depot stores.
02:09According to Representative Homeland Security Investigations and the U.S. Attorney's Office,
02:15the action was taken after a judge found probable cause that an employer was using fictitious documents for some of its employees.
