La 77e édition du Critérium du Dauphiné a débuté ce dimanche, à l'occasion de la 1ère étape entre Domérat et Montluçon (195,8 km). Et alors que l'on s'attendait à un sprint entre les grosses cuisses de ce peloton, ce sont les favoris qui se sont joué la gagne... avec la victoire de Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates XRG) devant Jonas Vingegaard (Visma | Lease a Bike), Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Deceuninck) et Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quick-Step). Ces 4 hommes sont sortis à 5,5 km de l'arrivée dans la dernière ascension du jour, l'explosive côte de Buffon, accompagnés également par Santiago Buitrago (Bahrain Victorious), et ils collaboré pour se jouer la gagne... qui est donc revenue au Champion du Monde, qui s'empare par la même occasion du maillot jaune.
