00:00In the valley of hidden hollow, where the Christmas trees grow fine,
00:23stood Christopher, the Christmas tree, in a shaggy coat of pine.
00:27He was the loneliest little Christmas tree anyone had ever known,
00:32cause every year at Christmas time no one would take him home.
00:37Christopher, the Christmas tree, the shaggy-ass tree around,
00:42who for years and years stood all alone, no one would chop him down.
00:47Christopher, the Christmas tree, was sad as he could be,
00:51cause he wanted to spend his Christmas with someone like you and me.
00:55Once upon a time, there was a place called the Valley of Hidden Hollow,
00:59where the most beautiful trees grew for Christmas time.
01:02Each year, when the men would come by in the big red truck to take just the prettiest Christmas trees,
01:07they would all stretch themselves out and stand real tall.
01:10This way, they would be sure to be chosen to spend their Christmas in the home of a special family.
01:15There was Clyde, Clarence, Cecil, and Claude.
01:22There was Charlene and Clifton.
01:25Carol, Candace, Cleo, Cyrus, Charlie, and poor little Christopher.
01:33I hope a nice family chooses me.
01:36I'm the best.
01:37But I'm the prettiest.
01:39I'm the greenest.
01:40I'm the fullest.
01:41I know I could bring someone lots of joy.
01:49Hey, Dad, here's one.
01:52That's a nice tree, son, but he's too small for us to put a star on top.
01:57He might fall over.
01:58Dad, why do we put a star on top of the Christmas tree?
02:01Well, son, we put that star there because it represents the star that led the wise men to the birth of Christ.
02:07Come on, boys.
02:08We found a nice big tree over here.
02:14Can you imagine spending Christmas in a nice warm home?
02:18I'm so excited.
02:21I know they'll choose me first because I'm taller and much prettier.
02:25Ho, ho, ho.
02:27Everybody take a look at this.
02:28My pine cone crown I'll place on top of Christ.
02:31I wish I wore a pretty Christmas tree.
02:36It's all I really want to be.
02:38I'll be next because my trunk is so straight and my green coat is so full and shiny.
02:44I wish I had someone to make over me.
03:09I'd be the pride of Hidden Hollow.
03:15As each Christmas passed, Christopher was left behind, all alone.
03:20Until finally, he would grow too tall to ever hope of becoming somebody's Christmas tree.
03:26Meanwhile, far away from Christopher in another part of Hidden Hollow,
03:30a family of owls were busy reading on the branch of a tree.
03:33Hootie, I've told you twice.
03:37Turn the book right side up.
03:42Hootie, I wish you would learn to read properly.
03:47Why can't you be more like your brothers, Alvin and Owlbutt?
03:51Such a disgrace to our family.
03:56Hootie decided at that moment to run away from home.
03:58He didn't know where he would go, but he knew he wasn't wanted here.
04:02Hootie, did you see that?
04:06Huh?
04:07Hey, get a load of the kooky looking boy.
04:11Hey, Boydie, let's play fetch.
04:14Yeah, you fly up and catch it, and fly it back to us.
04:22Go get it, Boydie.
04:26Hootie, hootie.
04:27Hey, what kind of boyd are you, anyway?
04:35You can't even fly.
04:39Oh, yeah, Hootie can't fly.
04:43Can't fly, can't fly.
04:44Hootie, hootie.
04:53Hootie even, oh, way high.
04:57Hootie, hootie, hootie, hootie, went walking.
05:01Cause Hootie didn't know how to fly.
05:05Piano refused to play with Hootie
05:11They all agreed that Hootie wasn't right
05:15They didn't know that Hootie had a problem
05:20You see, Hootie didn't seem accepted none
05:24Hoot, hoot, hoot, went Hootie
05:29Hootie even went in front
05:35Hootie, hootie, hoot while he went walkin'
05:39Cause Hootie didn't know how to fly
05:43Time to put away your toys now, Tommy
06:05It's almost bedtime
06:07Dad, Dad, come quick
06:17Look at the poor little frozen owl
06:19Better bring him inside, Tommy
06:22Oh, Dad, the owl is very sick
06:29Do you think he'll live?
06:31Oh, it's hard to tell, son
06:32Just keep him warm for now
06:34Put him beside the Christmas tree
06:36Or he'll feel more at home
06:37Dad, why do we put that star on top of the Christmas tree every year?
06:43You know, I asked my father the same thing many years ago
06:47When I went out to pick my first Christmas tree
06:49That star is there because it represents the star that led the wise men to the birth of Christ
06:54If I wanted to make a wish, could I make a wish on that star?
06:59Well, son, I guess you could
07:01Stars belong to everyone
07:03You know, Dad
07:06If I could have any wish in the whole world
07:09I wish that this little owl could be saved
07:12Mom, Dad, look, he's better
07:19Yes, he looks like he's starting to recover
07:22Well, Tommy, we need our rest, too
07:26It's time to go to bed
07:27The owl will be safe beside the fire for tonight
07:33Can we keep him, Dad? Huh, can we?
07:41I'm afraid not, Tommy
07:43It wouldn't be right to keep an animal from the wild as a pet
07:46We'll have to let him go back to the woods
07:49Hoodie felt even more lonely than ever
07:56It had been a long time since he had left home
07:59And now the only friend he ever had he couldn't even keep
08:02He had to continue with his journey
08:05But he felt hopeful that someday he would see that little boy again
08:08Hello there
08:30Who are you?
08:31Oh, your name is Hootie?
08:35You look like you're lost
08:37You look like you need a friend
08:43Well, I'll be your friend
08:47My name is Christopher
08:50I've been waiting here year after year
08:54Hoping to become somebody's Christmas tree
08:57But, well, as you can see
08:59I haven't been picked yet
09:02But I believe in wishes
09:05I know they come true
09:07As sure as the stars above
09:09Why, every year
09:10I wish that the Christmas star up there
09:13Was right up here on my tip-top
09:15Why don't you make a wish, Hootie
09:18So Hootie closed his eyes and wished
09:22He wished he could fly
09:25He wished he could talk
09:28But most of all
09:31He wished he would always have a friend
09:34Like Christopher
09:35Wish upon a star

12:02As time went by, Christopher grew so big that he began to doubt if he would ever become somebody's Christmas tree.
12:09But somehow, with all these friends, it didn't hurt so much.
12:18Hello, Christopher! Hello, Hootie!
12:22Hello, everyone!

12:48Uh-huh. Did you hear that?
12:51He wants to be a Christmas tree.
12:54You're too big to be a Christmas tree, dummy.
12:56Pardon?

13:59Oh, I think he's one of yours.
14:01But you're all welcome to stay and make a home.
14:05I've got plenty of room.

17:45It's no use, Hootie.
18:04You're too little to get a big tree like me off this truck.
18:08No, Christopher.
18:09I won't let them chop my friend into firewood.
18:13I know.
18:16I'll get help.
18:17But Hootie, come back.
18:19Come back.
18:20Hootie, Hootie.

19:08Where's Christopher?
19:09Over here.
19:13He's over here.
19:17Oh, no.
19:18We're too late.
19:22Hootie, Hootie, look.
19:24Now I'm everybody's Christmas tree.
19:28I've been chosen as the Christmas tree for all the children in the world.
19:33It's my dream come true.
19:35Hey, Hootie.
19:35Hey, Hootie.
19:36Hello, Tommy.
19:38As Secretary General of the United Nations, it is the most pleasant task of this office to present this wonderful symbol of peace and goodwill to all the children of the world.
19:49I believe the United Nations' Christmas tree should have a name.
19:52Let him be known as Christopher because a man named Christopher discovered this part of the world.
19:58And also we find the name Christ in both Christmas and Christopher.
20:03However, I wish you all a very merry Christmas.
20:06I'm the whole world's Christmas tree.
20:10And that was my destiny.
20:15I had to wait a long time.
20:17I had to grow real tall to become the Christmas tree for all.
20:25So if you'll take a lesson from me, who was once an ugly tree, and if you try real hard, it's all up to you.
20:39You've got to believe before a dream comes true.
20:44Because I'm the whole world's Christmas tree, and that was my destiny.
20:53I had to wait a long time.
20:56I had to grow real tall to become the Christmas tree for all.
21:08What's the matter, Hootie?
21:10Christopher, this is your first, but isn't it your last Christmas?
21:18But Hootie, you don't understand.
21:20This is what I've always lived for.
21:23Being a Christmas tree is all about faith, sacrifice, and hope for mankind.
21:30Don't you remember when I fell to the ground in Hidden Hollow and I shook all my pine cones loose?
21:35Hootie, you've got to see that they're planted, so there will always be a Christopher the Christmas tree.
21:45I promise, Christopher.
21:47Hootie and the animals returned to Hidden Hollow and planted all of Christopher's pine cones.
21:53And Christopher, well, he was the happiest tree in the whole world
21:58because he knew that there would always be a Christopher the Christmas tree.
22:05In the valley of Hidden Hollow, where the Christmas trees grow fine,
22:17stood Christopher the Christmas tree in a shaggy coat of pine.
22:21He was the loneliest little Christmas tree anyone had ever known,
22:26because every year at Christmas time no one would take him home.
22:30Christopher the Christmas tree, the shaggy-ass tree around.
22:35Hootie years and years and years, they're all alone, no one would chop him down.
22:40Christopher the Christmas tree, what sad as you could be,
22:44cause he wanted to spend his Christmas with someone like you and me.
22:50Each year they passed by Christopher to the taller trees nearby,
22:54and left him standing all alone for years and years to cry.
22:59Then one day some men came by and began to chop him down,
23:04and he heard them say he's the prettiest tree that we have ever found.
23:08So off the town went Christopher, happy as he could be.
23:13They carried him on a big red truck so everyone could see.
23:17They took him to a special place where a crown had gathered round.
23:22They dressed him up with the brightest lights of any tree in town.
23:28The crowd was waiting patiently for what seemed so very long.
23:33Then a man came out and flipped the switch and Christopher's lights came on.
23:37Then all the years he'd known of loneliness, while growing straight and tall,
23:42came to run in with happiness and was seen by one and all.
23:46Good old Christopher, the Christmas tree, was the prettiest tree around.
23:51Who for years and years stood all alone, no one would chop him down.
23:56Christopher the Christmas tree, as proud as he can be,
24:00for he's standing tall at assembly hall for everyone to see.
24:05The Hogwarts Christmas tree, the way he dreamed he'd be.
24:09For you and you and me.
24:16The Hogwarts Christmas tree, the the Hogwarts for you and me.
24:19The most beautiful Margaret and past unut
24:28you have never seen him live yet.
24:33I don't think so if you'll see other ones you realize
24:35Oh yeah and I see the characters in this episode rock business.
