00:00Capcom just dropped the first trailer for the next Resident Evil title, and a fan favorite

00:04might be returning in a big way. Here is everything you need to know in 60 seconds.

00:08The new title called Resident Evil Requiem is going to chill you to the core because this one

00:13is a glorious return to the roots of the franchise. The first reveal introduced us to Grace Ashcroft,

00:18an FBI agent and rumored daughter of Alyssa Ashcroft from Resident Evil Outbreak. She's

00:22on a terrifying journey to confront her past with glimpses of a decimated raccoon city,

00:27hinting at a return to the series' iconic roots. Besides a brief look at Raccoon City, Grace is

00:31also strapped to a gurney, screaming for help. While it's unclear where this fits exactly on

00:36the Resident Evil timeline, this hopeless situation brings us to a spicy rumor that she isn't the only

00:41playable character in the game. Instead, Leon Kennedy might be coming back to help her out,

00:46and will be revealed at a later date. It hasn't been confirmed yet, so we will have to see about that.

00:50Anyway, Capcom is definitely on the right track with Requiem showing off a terrifying new look,

00:55incredible detailed character models, and a great mix of psychological horror and the pulse-pounding

01:00action. A first demo will be available at Gamescom this August, and the game launches February next

01:04year for PC and consoles.
