00:00I just played four hours of Animo early, and this has the huge potential to become a true next-gen Pokemon game that we have been waiting for so long.
00:06Let me tell you all about it. This one is a free-to-play monster-catching game in which you collect and merge with cute creatures to use incredible abilities.
00:13It's an open world that is truly stunning, with vivid bright colors and much to explore.
00:17The map is quite large, with different biomes from what I could see in the beta,
00:21and there are lots of small tasks for you to fulfill, creatures to catch, and puzzles to solve.
00:26Similar to the recent Zelda games, there are also small dungeons spread across the map where you have to use specific abilities to clear the challenge.
00:32In combat, you can switch between your creatures for different attacks and elemental advantages, merge with them for direct control, or stay on the side as a support.
00:41Each creature has special and some sort of ultra attacks, and you can also use a dash ability to dodge attacks. Pretty cool overall.
00:47Oh, and they have huge boss fights as well. Catching works pretty similar to Pokemon, but instead of a ball, they use a square item.
00:54What I really liked is the very extensive character creator, and the lively world in which you actively use your monster's abilities for cool shit.
01:01You can, for example, burn ice or wood to reach hidden areas. Overall, the game feels super good, and I would just like to see the performance improved, and more and better voiceover on dialogues.
01:10What do you think about this new Pokemon-like game?
01:12What is the anime being?
