00:00Todd took his shot, but did he miss his mark?
00:03Here's your look at the McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse DC Classics Deadshot.
00:30Lloyd Lawton is Deadshot, known as the world's deadliest marksman.
00:35His weapons of choice are two guns mounted on each wrist.
00:38He began his career as a vigilante in Gotham City, but he later became a high-priced assassin and mercenary.
00:44He has been a core member of the Secret Six and the Suicide Squad.
00:47He's already made it clear to the Caped Crusader to keep his daughter's name out of his frickin' mouth.
00:51Let's take, though, the tape measure and see how tall the DC Classics...
00:55Not so much Suicide Squad, but certainly the pages of the DC Classics Deadshot is.
01:00...by taking, of course, the tape measure.
01:01While I'm doing this, I also was able to score this over on the Facebook selling group from Popeye the Toy Man.
01:07If you'd like to certainly check out his wares, I can put the link down below in the video description.
01:11As for Deadshot's height, the figure's going to stand at 7 inches in height.
01:15That's going to work out, though, to be a figure that's 17 and a quarter centimeters tall.
01:19And because I like my criminals colorful, here's what the figure looks like with the DC Classics Two-Face.
01:24Of course, speaking of villains, let's bring in a Batz.
01:26Here's what the figure looks like with the Silver Age Batman, and why not?
01:29Let's bring in, also, both Clock King and Cat Man.
01:32Why I'm also bringing in these three characters, and it wasn't until I actually started to pull these from my totes,
01:37did I not realize, then, that this guy, this guy here, and Batman also in the back,
01:42happen to all be sharing the exact same bodies.
01:44Granted, though, the bodies are colorful and different from one another,
01:47but they're using all the exact same molds.
01:49If your question is, how many accessories come in clear with Deadshot?
01:52The answer I would provide to you is, A, lot.
01:56Before we look at those things, let's look at this thing.
01:58The figure does come in clear with a DC Silver Age display stand.
02:02I mean, granted, it's just a regular DC logo stand anyways.
02:05The only thing that's different, though, is frills get now afforded this.
02:08Now you get a silver DC logo instead of just the black.
02:11Off to the far corner, right here, right here, is a peg that can plug into either one of Deadshot's boots.
02:16I had a bit of a struggle, though, actually taking this peg and trying to fit it onto the undersides of his boots.
02:22He seemed to have a harder time attaching onto the peg.
02:24This isn't the first time this has happened.
02:26I think he actually has slightly smaller peg holes.
02:29Discussions about this will come later.
02:31The figure does also come in clear with a trading card.
02:33The thing I really like about the trading card is it reminds me of the DC Cosmic cards
02:37that we used to get in, like, the early 90s or so.
02:40This time, though, we have the McFarlane logo down the side here.
02:43McFarlane Collector's Edition done in the silver.
02:45Again, a nice-looking classic look to Deadshot.
02:49We are also getting, as well, a Platinum Edition of Deadshot that's going to darken the colors a little bit,
02:53but I like the brighter colors myself.
02:55On the back, though, his real name is Floyd Lawton.
02:58There is a fairly easy-to-read paragraph,
03:01so I'm sure you could probably just pause this and read it for yourself.
03:04I happen to have already read it for you,
03:06but if you want to double-dip it and do the double duties,
03:08you can read it again for yourself.
03:11Let's put the card off to the side.
03:12Okay, as for the things that come in clue with Lloyd,
03:15Floyd, the figure does, first of all, have three pairs of swappable hands.
03:19Wait a minute, wait a minute.
03:20I see one pair.
03:21I see two pairs.
03:22Are you having to clean out your eyes?
03:24Well, keep in mind, as well, the figure does also have them on the ends of his forms, as well.
03:27As for his other options, though,
03:31his closed fists are the ones that come in with the figure defaulted out of the packaging.
03:36However, though, he does also come in clue with trigger hands
03:38that are clearly more designed to be displayed with a pistol, a gun,
03:42some sort of firearm.
03:43Unfortunately, the figure doesn't come included with it.
03:45Granted, though, he comes with arm cannons,
03:47so technically you could still say he has something to fire at bats.
03:51Although, again, like if you want to make use of these hands,
03:53it probably would be making more sense to probably pull a pistol
03:56from another DC Classics figure, a DC Universe figure
03:59that you may have in your collection currently.
04:01I know, you'd have to probably go back a fair's bit
04:04in order to find and retrieve a pistol that's going to work with these hands.
04:08You know, again, we've had this mandate for a while.
04:10Can't have figures with guns.
04:11Can't have figures with guns.
04:12And yet we just got the year two Batman,
04:15a Caped Crusader, carrying around a pistol.
04:18Think about that if you want.
04:19The figure does also come in clue with two pointing hands.
04:22So if he needs to point at what exactly he's firing at,
04:25not necessarily that he needs to be, you know,
04:27lining things up with his fingers first,
04:29he does also, again, come with a couple of pointing hands.
04:33I couldn't help but, though, notice,
04:34looking at the actual pointing finger,
04:36that it kind of looks like it's been mangled.
04:39Is it just maybe me?
04:40Maybe it's just the way that they've sculpted the knuckles.
04:42It kind of looks like they're more like sausages than they are fingers.
04:46Again, any one of these, by the way,
04:47can be swapped out with the existing hands that he has.
04:49Say, for example, you want to change this hand.
04:51Well, that's easy to do.
04:52You basically just pop that off.
04:53Find the hand that you want to then use.
04:55We're going to go with this one.
04:56Of course, making sure thumbs go always in
04:59and just plug it onto the end of the peg.
05:00That's all that's really required.
05:03Okay, so then the figure does also come in clue
05:05with a couple of gauntlet.
05:06I say a couple.
05:07He actually comes with three pairs of gauntlet blasters.
05:10If you don't want him firing anything,
05:11then the figure comes defaulted pair.
05:14All of these, by the way, plug in the exact same way.
05:16So if you look at the back of them,
05:17there is a designated shape.
05:18It's not quite really a square,
05:20and it's certainly not a rectangle.
05:22It's a rectangle that's got a little corner cut away from it.
05:25If you're trying to figure out,
05:26okay, well, how am I supposed to line up this shape?
05:29This is more thought that was required
05:31than I thought I would have to have.
05:33Well, don't worry, though.
05:33I mean, if you're thinking of it this way,
05:35the cannons are always going to go one way.
05:37I guess one thing, too,
05:38is when you are plugging these in,
05:40you kind of want to make sure, though,
05:42that, like, for example,
05:43if you line up the shapes,
05:44see how this one's kind of got like an indentation?
05:46You sort of want to have the smaller barrel facing outward.
05:50So I guess there is a little bit of requirement.
05:52It isn't just, I mean,
05:53I guess if you wanted to put this on this side,
05:55it works.
05:57I guess it does work either way,
05:58so it doesn't really matter.
05:59Yeah, so if you want to plug those in,
06:00those are basically just the defaulted blasters.
06:03He's not firing anything yet.
06:05Yet.
06:06However, though,
06:06there is other options available as well.
06:08The figure does have these ones,
06:10which looks like they're just kind of shooting blasts.
06:13Perhaps fire.
06:14Maybe.
06:15One thing I do actually kind of like about it
06:17is that they've used the coloring like a dark,
06:20like a really dark reddish kind of orange,
06:22and it goes a little bit lighter as it gets to the end.
06:25Now, there's that option,
06:26or you can also have one where it looks like
06:28he's actually firing a little tiny rocket.
06:31Again, you could also mix and match these two.
06:32Nobody is really telling you,
06:33hey, buddy, you have to use two of these.
06:36You have to use two of these.
06:37If you want to go against the grain,
06:39then you would use one,
06:40and then basically just use the other.
06:42So to swap that out,
06:43again, you're just going to take these
06:44and just detach them from the pegs.
06:46Take the one that you want to use.
06:48Now that we've established the fact
06:49it doesn't have to go one way or the other,
06:51you just plug it in on the end like that,
06:53and then take the other one that you want to use
06:55and plug it right over here.
06:57Now, I don't know anything about the laws
07:00and basically how it works really in the comics,
07:03but I would imagine from a reality standpoint,
07:05if you're looking at this,
07:06I would imagine that's going to be burning his hand
07:08every single time he's shooting this off, right?
07:11That can't be good.
07:12I mean, not that I have arm cannons on my arms
07:15all the time, all the time at least.
07:17I can't think though that that's really safe.
07:20Yeah, right?
07:22I mean, I'm sure somebody has already probably told Deadshot,
07:24you know, I would probably have moved these
07:26in another place.
07:27Maybe have them on your legs.
07:29Maybe as he just kicks, he shoots at people.
07:31But he seems to think though that putting cannons
07:33so close to his fingers like this
07:35that they aren't going to get squirts.
07:37And being the fact that he's also shooting right now,
07:39I'm not going to be the guy that tells him.
07:41I don't think that's really a good idea.
07:43But I think it's certainly though a good idea
07:44that McFarlane included all these extra attachments
07:46instead of just sculpting these.
07:49Because really though, he could have,
07:51he could have just phoned it in.
07:52That's my symbol for phoning it in.
07:54He could have just really phoned it in,
07:56sculpted these permanently on the ends of the gauntlets,
07:58called it a day.
07:59And then, I mean, yeah, we probably would have said,
08:01I wish this guy could have come with more accessories,
08:03or I wish that these cans could have done a little bit more.
08:05The fact that he then includes
08:07three different options available,
08:09I think that's fantastic.
08:11Considering again, like we're getting near the end
08:12of the DC multiverse line,
08:14and really what Todd's going to be doing
08:15with the DC property moving forward,
08:16I have no idea.
08:18But that we're getting stuff like this,
08:19creative ways between swappable faces,
08:22now swappable cannons.
08:24It's a good day to be collecting DC multiverse,
08:26although you're probably going to be getting
08:27near the end of the line for that.
08:28So let's move everything out of the way.
08:30Long-winded, I know.
08:31Let's get a closer look, though, at Deadshot's face.
08:33Again, there is another variation of this guy as well,
08:37where he's got slightly more darker colors.
08:39If I really had only the choice to pick up one,
08:41I probably would be picking up the one
08:43that you're looking at right now.
08:44I just like the lighter colors.
08:45I like the brighter colors.
08:47And even though it's a really weird kind of greenish,
08:50what would you even call it, like a greenish gray,
08:52it worked quite well for the character of Deadshot.
08:55I mean, if you were to go back
08:56and look at the source material,
08:57and the only thing we really have right now
08:59to reference to is a trading card,
09:01the color, I think, would probably be
09:02a little bit more closer to white,
09:03why they chose to go kind of go
09:05with more of the greenish tint.
09:06I still think it works well for the character.
09:09I mean, his costume is pretty close, too.
09:10I don't think there's really anything
09:11that they haven't had on the figure
09:13that wasn't on the card.
09:15I mean, maybe like the little bands,
09:17bands are missing there on the legs,
09:18but I mean, that's a small thing.
09:19They've even actually put the little stripes
09:21on the fronts of his boots,
09:22and they've also put the little pieces
09:23that he has on the sides of his leg.
09:25Now, these are actually attached by up here.
09:28You can see that they're only attached
09:29by a very thin strand.
09:31And so, again, when it comes
09:32to moving out his legs,
09:33kind of just keep that, though, in mind.
09:35You don't want these accidentally ripping.
09:37I feel like they probably,
09:38I mean, yeah, it's fine
09:39that they glued it here,
09:40but just to ensure
09:41that these aren't going to fall off,
09:43I probably would have actually glued
09:44them a little further down.
09:45It's not like really it changes
09:46at all the way that the trunks work.
09:48I think the trunks would work
09:49the exact same way.
09:50Like, if I'm holding them
09:51as well as I can,
09:53I can split still the legs,
09:54and it doesn't look like necessarily
09:56these would be impeding
09:57any bit of the movement.
09:59Yeah, you know what?
09:59I probably would have glued them
10:01a little bit lower down.
10:01Like, what do I really know?
10:02I'm just the guy that's pointing
10:03a camera at a figure
10:04and talking about it.
10:06But I think, though,
10:07I probably would have glued
10:07this a little bit further down
10:08just to make sure
10:09that these don't fall off.
10:10Again, the colors for the guy
10:12look really well.
10:13Maybe, like I would say,
10:14like the colors for his torso
10:15aren't really quite jiving
10:16with the colors for his arms.
10:18The arm plastic,
10:19the light plastic
10:20is a little shinier
10:20than the torso,
10:21but I think the colors
10:22are still pretty close
10:23to matching.
10:24For the figure's articulation,
10:26Deadshot does have
10:27a ball joint in his head.
10:28While moving it, though,
10:30I couldn't help but notice
10:31there seems to be
10:31like a little bit of resistance.
10:33As you're kind of turning it,
10:34you can kind of feel
10:34it hits a mark,
10:36then it skips over that mark,
10:37and then it waits
10:38for the next one.
10:39So while it does rotate
10:40all the way around in theory,
10:41it does seem like
10:42it's a little stubborn,
10:43a little bit on the stubborn side.
10:45As you're also having
10:46the head higher up like this,
10:47I notice it's harder
10:48to turn his head.
10:49It's almost like,
10:50if you're looking at his neck,
10:51the neck doesn't angle,
10:52it doesn't go straight up.
10:53It angles this way.
10:54So to move the head
10:55all the way around,
10:56it actually works better
10:56to have the head lower down
10:58like that.
10:59If you have the head up like this,
11:00does that make sense?
11:01I hope it does.
11:02If you have it up like this,
11:03it's a little harder
11:04to move things around.
11:06Deadshot's head
11:07does also move down.
11:08It moves up.
11:09You can also rock it
11:10back and forth as well.
11:11The upper torso,
11:12as to be expected,
11:13is going to be on a ball joint.
11:14You can rotate that
11:14back and forth
11:15all the way really around
11:16if you wanted to.
11:17The lower abdomen,
11:18but basically the same idea.
11:20So you can rotate that
11:20all the way around as well.
11:21Up and down,
11:22back and forth,
11:23yada, yada, yada.
11:24This arm, yeah,
11:25is a little on the loose side.
11:27I don't really know why.
11:28This is really,
11:29I think the first time
11:30we've gotten used to this mold.
11:32And then they're going
11:32to double it up again
11:33by releasing the Platinum Edition
11:35or they have already
11:35released the Platinum Edition
11:36using the same mold.
11:38This arm isn't so bad.
11:39This arm's fine.
11:40This arm again,
11:41little loosey,
11:41little loosey.
11:42The arm does hinge out though
11:44to be at a 90 degree angle bend
11:45or T pose.
11:46The figure does have
11:47a bicep swivel,
11:48double hinge on the elbow.
11:49So one thing too
11:51is I'm glad
11:51that these are securely placed.
11:53I mean,
11:53if you're looking at
11:53how big that peg was,
11:55you're probably thinking to yourself,
11:56that's not going to hold.
11:57That's going to fall off frequently.
11:59And yet it hasn't.
12:00I mean,
12:01even like moving the arm
12:02back and forth,
12:02even if I was to bang this,
12:04it doesn't seem like
12:04it stays on pretty well.
12:06And that has worked well
12:07for every time
12:08that I've changed out
12:08the different arm cannons.
12:09There is no swivel here
12:12for the gauntlet.
12:13This is basically
12:13just a continued piece
12:14for the forearm here,
12:16but the hands do rotate
12:17all the way around.
12:17Just watch that you don't
12:19burn those little piggies
12:20whether they're going
12:20to the market or not.
12:22For the legs,
12:23they do split out.
12:24Again,
12:24I'm a little worried
12:25about these,
12:26but yeah,
12:26the legs still split.
12:28You can move them forward.
12:29You can move them back.
12:30There's a swivel there,
12:31a mild,
12:31mild swivel,
12:32about that much
12:33on the tops of the thighs.
12:34The figure does have
12:35a double hinge on the knee.
12:37No articulation,
12:38and that was kind of
12:38surprising to me
12:39that there was no articulation
12:40for the lower boots.
12:42I'm kind of looking
12:42at also these boots
12:43and I'm thinking to myself,
12:44could they maybe release
12:45a classic Firestorm?
12:46Firestorm would have had,
12:47I think,
12:48similar boots like this,
12:48similar colors as well.
12:50But yeah,
12:50there's no articulation
12:51down below here.
12:52There is, however,
12:53articulation in the ankle
12:54that moves up and down
12:55this way,
12:56a back and forth rock,
12:57and the figure does also
12:58have toe articulation as well.
13:00I'm glad, though,
13:00that Deadshot made the cuts,
13:02the hit list,
13:03before, of course,
13:04Todd McFarlane
13:05and the rest of the McFarlane
13:06toys did lose the license
13:07for the DC Classics.
13:09You know, again,
13:09it's so sad
13:10because I've said this
13:12in the couple of other reviews
13:13that we've looked at
13:14lately here on this channel.
13:15I mean, like,
13:15Two-Face really set the bar
13:16for me,
13:17and I think Deadshot's
13:18continued to keep
13:19that bar pretty high.
13:20Why is this guy
13:21not standing?
13:22I think, like,
13:23the DC Classics stuff,
13:24Silver Age,
13:25is really some of my
13:26favorite things
13:26that they've been doing
13:27as of late.
13:27And, you know,
13:28to come up with
13:29creative ideas,
13:30why is this guy...
13:31stay still,
13:32stay still.
13:33You know what?
13:34You're going to be
13:34sent to the corner.
13:35Go sit in the corner.
13:36Let's move this guy over.
13:37Move over at least
13:38the Batman that I know
13:39can stand on his own.
13:40There you go.
13:40A lot of it may have
13:41a lot to do with
13:42his cape as well.
13:43You know, yeah,
13:44I still feel like
13:44we're getting some of
13:45the best DC Multiverse
13:46Classics,
13:47and it's so sad
13:48that it comes at the
13:48end of the figure's line.
13:50You know,
13:50with now getting
13:51a Deadshot,
13:52a Deadshot has been
13:53on my hit list
13:53for a while,
13:54and I kind of kept
13:54thinking to myself,
13:56you know,
13:56if they're losing
13:57the license,
13:58these are the following
13:59characters I really wish
14:00that they could still do.
14:01I do hope that
14:02at some point
14:02they could get us
14:03more Clayface figures.
14:05I would love to get
14:05a Classics Clayface.
14:08Anton Arcane,
14:09probably one of my
14:10favorite of the Clayface
14:11from the Classics
14:11Silver Age days.
14:13But we got ourselves
14:13a Deadshot,
14:14and it's a nice-looking
14:15Deadshot.
14:16Again,
14:16there is a Platinum
14:17edition of this
14:18that does the colors
14:18a little bit darker.
14:19I would imagine
14:20the arm cans
14:21are going to attach
14:21the exact same way.
14:22Securely,
14:23by the way,
14:23very securely
14:24attached to the forearms.
14:25They're not going
14:25to be falling off.
14:26Still,
14:27though,
14:27again,
14:27well,
14:28I don't know,
14:28from a health
14:28and safety standpoint,
14:30those arm cans
14:31so close to his hands
14:32like that,
14:32I would imagine
14:33would just be
14:33singeing those hands.
14:35But apparently
14:35he knows otherwise.
14:36After all,
14:36he is one of the
14:37most deadliest assassins.
14:39I guess in matters
14:39of the Displaced
14:40and we didn't need
14:41to discuss it
14:41after all.
14:42One thing,
14:43though,
14:43about the Displaced
14:44is I eventually
14:45did get it
14:45plugged onto
14:46the bottoms of his boot.
14:47I did,
14:48though,
14:48go in there first
14:49with a hairdryer.
14:50That's the sound
14:51of a hairdryer.
14:52A few passes
14:53was all it really needed
14:54to soften up
14:54the plastic of the hole
14:55so that the peg
14:57fit better properly
14:58inside of it.
14:59I wasn't so much worried
15:00that the peg
15:00was going to break
15:01on the Displaced
15:01and it's not like
15:02I don't have
15:03more of them anyways.
15:04But the one thing
15:05I don't want to have
15:05to worry about
15:06is having a broken peg
15:07sitting inside
15:07the hole of the boot.
15:08I've had to do that before.
15:10I had to take it
15:10like a very small screwdriver
15:12and just very slowly
15:13fish it out the peg.
15:14I didn't want to have
15:14to do that again
15:15so I thought it was
15:16just a better idea
15:16to heat it up first.
15:18Really a nice looking
15:19dead shot, though.
15:20If you like this mold,
15:21know that there's also
15:22two releases of him.
15:23The brighter color
15:24that we looked at
15:25in this review
15:25and then there's
15:25kind of more
15:26of a darker color.
15:27The colors are a little
15:28bit more muted
15:28on the Platinum Edition.
15:29I again just like
15:31the eyesore of what
15:31he has right now
15:32with the reds
15:33and the yellows.
15:34It's funny though again
15:35like to look at the reds
15:36that we know the parts
15:37that are painted
15:38and the parts that are
15:38molded in plastic.
15:40His arms and his legs
15:41are molded in red plastic.
15:43The torso red isn't though.
15:44It's been painted.
15:45So you can see that
15:46there's a bit of a difference
15:47between the two colors.
15:49It's not enough
15:49to be jarring
15:50on the figure
15:51but now that I've said
15:52that you probably
15:53can notice that it's there.
15:55The colors that they've
15:55also used for this
15:56off-white,
15:57again look the part
15:58for Deadshot.
15:59They probably could have
15:59even gone a little bit
16:00lighter of a white
16:01but from head to toe
16:03with these dangerous
16:04blasters on the ends
16:05of his forms
16:05I still think it's
16:06a bad idea myself.
16:07You want to talk about
16:08holding like fireworks
16:09in your hand
16:10like you know
16:104th of July
16:11in Canada Day.
16:12You don't want to have
16:13fireworks sitting in your hand
16:14because those things
16:15go off.
16:15You're going to be
16:16losing those piggies.
16:17Those piggies aren't
16:17just going to be
16:18going to the market.
16:18Those piggies are going
16:19to be going to the morgue.
16:21One thing though again
16:22like having the blaster
16:22so close to the end
16:23of his arm
16:23from a realistic standpoint
16:25I got to think
16:26that that's a bad idea
16:27but from a comic standpoint
16:28it's the thing
16:29that makes Deadshot
16:30really cool
16:31and I think it's cool
16:32the fact that
16:32McFarlane toys
16:33did include extra
16:34arm blasters
16:35so you can change
16:36around the options
16:37to get the look
16:38that you want.
16:39Yeah overall
16:39I'm really happy
16:40with this figure.
16:41Now I did again
16:42get this from
16:43Popeye the Toy Man
16:43from the Facebook
16:44selling group.
16:45He's available right now
16:46through either
16:46online markets
16:47if you have enough
16:49lucky chance
16:51to find him in stores
16:52I don't have
16:53that kind of luck
16:54so unfortunately
16:54I would have to
16:55go the route of Facebook
16:56and I got this guy
16:57for a pretty decent price.
16:58If you guys want to
16:59check out more

17:14before he loses
17:16the license?
17:17Again I would love
17:18I don't know
17:18if the chance
17:19of this ever happening
17:19but a mud pack
17:21like a mud pack
17:22Lady Clayface
17:23Clayface Anton Arcane
17:25anybody familiar
17:26with the mud pack
17:26from like the 80s days

17:30That would probably be
17:31my number one must have

17:33an updated Harley Quinn
17:34you know really
17:35when you think about

17:37in other reviews as well
17:38we've gotten more
17:39movie Harley Quinns
17:40but when it comes
17:41to comic Harley Quinns
17:42and just with that
17:43classic look
17:43how many of those figures
17:45that we really have
17:45we had like the Harley Quinn
17:46that was released
17:47I think in the first wave
17:48of DC Multiverse
17:48and that's really been it
17:50a classic looking Harley Quinn
17:51to go with the classic
17:52looking Joker
17:53those would be my two
