00:00Former Bristol City head coach Liam Manning has spoken of what was, as he put it, a deeply difficult personal season for himself during the previous championship campaign.
00:11But he also made clear that the love of Bristol City supporters helped get him through his ordeal.
00:19Yeah, my difficult career year personally for me, but professionally probably one of the most rewarding I think.
00:27And that is, what it does, I think it gives perspective to people.
00:31It gives a reminder of, you know, what's important.
00:33It did it for me while I was off work for a bit of, why do I do what I do?
00:37You know, and asking myself that question.
00:38It came back to, you know, constantly with people, you know, trying to help people, trying to improve people.
00:45You know, the energy, the buzz you get off of it.
00:47And that's where, you know, when I look at the support I've had, it's been fantastic from fans, from staff in here, from the lads.
00:53I think, you know, from everybody in the wider game as well.
00:56All this, like I said, it's been a tough year, but at the same point, you know, just to set reminders, I think, has been good from that point.
01:02Create that hope and that buzz around the place and then see what it meant to the fans after the game was, you know, a special one as well.
01:08And Bristol Rovers head coach, Daryl Clark, has said that he wants to create a second legacy in his second spell at the club,
01:16following on from the extremely successful period he experienced whilst at the gas previously.
01:21Yeah, listen, I enjoy pressure.
01:24You know, some people say never go back.
01:29I don't agree with it.
01:31For me, it's built a legacy first time around.
01:34I apologise for the last year in charge because that was a disaster.
01:37To be honest with you, I understood why that went wrong and I blame myself for that.
01:41But, you know, we had four fantastic years, in my opinion, and now it's building a second legacy.
01:48You know, I'm desperate to finish what I call unfinished business in here.
01:53So that's going to be the task in hand.
01:55That's what we're going to be working hard to achieve.
01:57Does that come easy?
01:58No.
01:59Does it heck?
02:00It's easy to say we want promotion, we want to get competing to try and get in the Champions.
02:03It's all easy to say, but the proof's always in the pudding.
02:06And what we will be doing and what I can promise our supporters is that we'll be giving absolutely everything to bring success back to the football club.
