00:00And Chris, as we look at the odds for game two, the Oilers remain a slight home ice favorite.
00:05Minus 120 is that money line price.
00:08Total still at six and a half.
00:10Did push to the over, courtesy of overtime in the opening game of this series.
00:15Chris, let's go team by team, starting with Florida.
00:19What is the biggest adjustment you expect the Panthers to make from the end of game one to tonight's game two?
00:26Yeah, it's a great question, Ben.
00:27I did talk about the speed in the previous block.
00:29I mean, they're going to have to do what they can to slow down some of the big boys and mention the speed burst and heavily in favor of the Edmonton Oilers.
00:36Something else that caught my eye was the high danger chances.
00:38This Florida Panthers team, they've been one of the stingiest teams at five and five over the past few years.
00:42You look at the series against Carolina, they only give up 25 high danger shots in game one.
00:48I know it was overtime, pretty much four full periods, 15 high danger shots.
00:52They gave up the favor in Edmonton significantly, 15 to six overall high danger shots.
00:58So, Boroski, 15 high danger shots against.
01:02And that was the first time all playoffs where he had more than 11 against.
01:05So, Florida is going to have to, again, try to slow down the speed, clog up the neutral zone.
01:12I think that's why we're seeing a lot of shot attempts from the blue liners in Edmonton.
01:15But that's the biggest adjustment that they'll have to make is to try to get in those, you know, a lot of the goals, that's where they happen.
01:22Right in the slot at Colm's goal, high danger goal, dry settle, high danger goal.
01:26Actually, both of his goals were high danger goals right in front of the net.
01:29So, they're going to have to clean up some of the trash, I suppose, in front of the net that Edmonton is just getting those easy areas.
01:36Should be excitement again in Edmonton.
01:40They can certainly smell it.
01:41First time in a long time that Canada now in control of the Stanley Cup final.
01:44But granted, it is only 1-0, but still home ice advantage in Edmonton's favor.
01:48Can they get a 2-0 series lead?
01:50If you look at the FanDuel Sportsbook, the number is coming down slightly here on the Edmonton Oilers.
01:55Around that 125, 126 price.
01:57We're now looking live at a minus 120 price on the money line for the Edmonton Oilers.
02:01And a total of six and a half.
02:03The Florida Panthers, as we said, getting a lot of respect, only a plus 100 now underdog in this game.
02:08Chris, what does that mean for game number two in Edmonton tonight?
02:12Yeah, I mean, I do think this is going to be a high-scoring series.
02:15It was last year.
02:16You know, there was some five and a half totals.
02:19And, you know, if it was a six and a half, I think four of the seven were under.
02:23But later, as the series got deeper, we started to see some goals.
02:27And both of these teams are just so gifted offensively.
02:30So, I like Florida bounce back.
02:33I think that I don't believe it's a must-win situation for them.
02:36But I think that there's a lot of positives.
02:38Despite me being negative about their game and the high-danger chances and the speed that the Oilers brought to the table,
02:43I do believe that the Panthers will get back into this series tonight.
02:46And I do have a slight lean to the over.
02:48But there's a few players in particular that I have my eye on for player props.
02:51I mean, I mentioned Sam Bennett and the 12 goals that he has.
02:54He's got six goals in his last six.
02:56He's tied for fourth in points here in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
02:59He's second in shots.
03:00He's tied for first in shot attempts.
03:02He puts a lot of pucks towards the goal.
03:03He's got five-plus shots.
03:04And he should just pass two games and at least three shots in ten games.
03:07So, a little bit of juice there on the three-shot prop.
03:09But I do like that.
03:10And just that line in particular.
03:12Because Barkov and Reinhardt, although that's a deadly duo,
03:16they're on the ice pretty much every time the McDavid hops over the boards.
03:20And halfway through that game, one, there was some line juggling where they put dry settle with McDavid.
03:26So, that's just a handful for Barkov to take care of those two guys.
03:31But where the mismatch is, Bennett, Kachuk, and Verhege.
03:35Bennett has nine points in his last six.
03:37Kachuk has eight points in his last six.
03:39Verhege, eight in his last six.
03:40That's 25 points from that trio in the last six games.
03:42So, there's a mismatch there.
03:44They had a lot of chances in game one.
03:47I expect them to have a lot of chances in game two.
03:49So, I'd look at that trio, all three of them, to hit the score sheet, get plus money at Kachuk, maybe for an assist.
03:54And on the other side, Corey Perry playing with dry settle and McDavid, plus money.
04:00Not only playing at five and five with those guys, but playing on the power play with those two players as well.
04:05So, it's somebody that I would take a look at.
04:07But, yeah, some pretty good odds there.
04:08Kachuk, plus 230 for a goal.
04:09Why not Leon dry settle, plus 115.
04:11And Bouchard would be my guy as well.
04:12You can't ignore those 14-shot attempts in game one.
04:15Look for him to have three shots.
04:16You get plus money on that one as well.
