More than 1.5 million foreign pilgrims are in Saudi Arabia for Hajj

The Day of Arafat is of great significance to Muslims around the world, regarded as the most sacred day of the year according to traditional sayings of prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

00:27According to traditional sayings of the Prophet, the Day of Arafat is the most sacred day of
00:32the year for Muslims where God draws near to the faithful and forgives their sins.
00:37After spending a day on Mount Arafat some 25 kilometers from the holy city of Mecca,
00:42worshippers descended down to Muzdalifah.
00:45In Muzdalifah, pilgrims collect pebbles to throw at the devil in Mina over the next three days
00:50of Hajj beginning on the first day of Eid al-Adha on Friday.
00:53Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam and is a religious obligation involving rituals
00:58and acts of worship.
01:00Every Muslim is obligated to perform Hajj at least once in their lifetime provided they
01:05have the money and are physically fit to do it.
