00:59Climate Policy Committee at Sheffield City Council and I've just seen your video today and I can see that actually it isn't an EV bike, it is actually a motor vehicle because EV bikes are a good thing in our city, we want to make it the number one city for electric bikes in our city but they have to be lawful and for them to be lawful they have to be at 15.5 miles per hour maximum speed limit, they have to be pedal assisted as well and we do know that just like in other cities and towns across
01:29the country we do have an issue with people who are unlawfully using what are motor vehicles in our towns and district centres really.
01:39I know the police are working really hard at dealing with some of these issues and have seized a number of these illegal vehicles and they are motor vehicles.
01:47We continue to work with them in order to tackle this issue but people are right to call it out, it isn't acceptable and we know that actually the vast majority of people who are using an EV bike or a non-EV bike are doing so completely lawfully.
