PH, Singapore reaffirm commitment to boost ties, explore collaboration
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong on June 4, 2025 agree to explore collaboration in 'new and emerging areas' amid an increasingly complex and challenging geopolitical environment. During their bilateral meeting in Malacañang, Marcos and Wong reaffirmed commitments to boosting people-to-people and business ties, especially in high-impact sectors such as renewable energy, humanitarian response, green economy, sustainability, health, and climate resilience. Wong, for his part, expressed confidence in the 'dynamism' of the Philippine economy and said Singaporean investors remained bullish about expanding their presence in the country.
