Today’s Daily Reflection explores the biblical theme of spiritual thirst and how it is quenched by the Spirit of God. The prophet Isaiah spoke of God pouring out water to satisfy this thirst—a symbol of the coming of the Holy Spirit. This promise was echoed in a Jewish temple festival where water was poured out to represent God’s future provision. During this festival, Jesus stood in the temple and declared, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me,” referring to the living water of the Holy Spirit, offered to all who believe in Him.
