00:08Tuesday. The local civil protection department said the accident occurred in the town of
00:13Jualahuisas in the northern state of Nuevo Leon. The bus was headed to Tampico in the
00:19neighboring state of Tamaulipas. According to media reports, most of the passengers were
00:24tourists from the region. Road accidents in Mexico have been on the rise in recent years,
00:30often due to poor vehicle maintenance, reckless driving, or driver fatigue.
00:35This latest tragedy comes just months after one of the country's deadliest crashes,
00:40a collision between a truck and a bus that claimed 38 lives in Campeche back in February.
