01:33Welcome, everyone, to the 1995 WWF Superstars Year-in-Review.
01:39And what a year it was.
01:41I'm Vince McMahon, along with Mr. Perfect.
01:43The one and only Mr. Perfect.
01:44All right, I stand corrected.
01:45When you think about one and only, you have to be thinking about
01:48Bret the Hitman Hart becoming the WWF Champion for a third time.
01:53Well, that was big.
01:54But the biggest thing in 1995 was the return of Mr. Perfect.
01:58All right, you're back.
01:59No question about that.
02:00But also, Big Daddy Cool Diesel declaring he's back.
02:04And is he ever.
02:05And what about the unfortunate succession of events of Diesel's best friend,
02:10yes, the heartbreak kid, Shawn Michaels?
02:12Well, McMahon, we all take that chance when we enter the ring.
02:14It's too bad Shawn Michaels will be retiring.
02:17I don't know that that's necessarily the case.
02:19But we'll take a look at that tremendous retrospective video on Shawn Michaels.
02:22And, of course, ladies and gentlemen, The Undertaker in search of his urn.
02:27And what about, as well, the bizarre one, Goldust?
02:30One of the most bizarre characters I've ever seen here in the World Wrestling Federation.
02:34And I know Goldust has got both eyes focused on one Razor Ramon.
02:38And what about the beast from the east, Bam Bam Bigelow?
02:42What an unbelievable matchup that was as we look back on this past year at WrestleMania.
02:46Bam Bam Bigelow against the all-pro, yes, the great Lawrence Taylor.
02:51Let's take a look.
02:52January 22nd, Sun Dump, Tampa, Florida, WWF Royal Rumble.
02:59Lawrence Taylor, the fan, is ringside when that man, Bam Bam Bigelow, the beast from the east,
03:06shamelessly shoves the future Hall of Famer to the concrete floor.
03:11From there, Bigelow went on a public crusade to lure the great one into the squared circle.
03:17But Taylor refused.
03:20February 28th, New York City, the World Wide WrestleMania XI press conference.
03:27The intransigent Taylor, against the advice of his lawyer and agents,
03:32against the pleas of his family and football peers,
03:36accepts Bigelow's challenge and seals the deal with the kids.
03:44We take you now to Times Square, the Big Apple, just days prior to the match.
03:49At a public workout, the two would-be combatants crossed paths again.
03:54Last time, their decorum was impeccable.
03:57But not on this day.
04:00This time, a Donnybrook melee ensued.
04:03However, to guard against further chicanery,
04:07the eminent one has assembled an all-pro team.

06:02What a rather disconsolate Bam Bam Bigelow decided he was going to take matters into his own hands, ladies and gentlemen, and left Ted DiBiase's Million Dollar Corporation.

06:13He was fired by Ted DiBiase.
06:15All right, your point of view as he was fired, Bam Bam's point of view as he left, indeed went on to bigger and better things.
06:21And let's give credit to the athletic prowess of one Lawrence Taylor.

06:26And speaking of Lawrence Taylor in football, you have to be thinking about all the bowls upcoming, and you have to be thinking about this Monday night.

09:10The road to the WWF Championship for Bret the Hitman Hart this year
09:14was obviously a very difficult one.
09:17Right now, ladies and gentlemen, before we chronicle this year's events with Bret Hart,
09:20let's take you back to the preceding year.
09:23Late in 94, it was a submission match.
09:26Bret Hart against Bob Backlund.
09:29And you'll see, when the towel gets thrown into the ring by Bret's mom,
09:32you won't believe the Academy Award-winning performance of Owen Hart, Bret's brother,
09:38who was there pleading with his mom,
09:40throw the towel in!
09:42And then watch what happens after it happens.

09:46Go back to Survivor Series when I lost the World Wrestling Federation Championship belt to Bob Backlund.

11:23Finally, the year culminates in a showdown for the title against Diesel at Survivor Series.
11:30And just when it looks like Brent Press would go unfulfilled, the Hitman regains the coveted goal.

11:45You know, McMahon, I doubt Diesel will ever have that kind of compassion for another superstar here in the World Wrestling Federation.

12:07But the toughest of them all, perhaps, is his upcoming title defense, Bret Hart against The Undertaker.

12:33Bret's got to defend the WWF title against a very angry Big Daddy Cool Diesel inside of a 15-foot-high steel cage.
12:40But, besides that, let's talk about this Friday night, Nassau Coliseum, Long Island, New York.
12:46Man, oh man, we've been talking for weeks. It is upon us.
12:50I consider it Tag Team Warfare Night.
12:52The Smoking Guns defend their WWF Tag Team titles against Jerry Lawler and Isaac Yankum.
12:58And then, Razor Ramon and that angry Big Daddy Cool Diesel take on Psycho Sid and the 1-2-3 Kid.
13:06And then, the last tag match, Yokozuna and Owen Hart against Bret Hart and The Undertaker.
13:13That's just mind-boggling to me, considering that Bret and The Undertaker are going to meet for the WWF title at the Royal Rumble.
13:19Right now, let's talk to the legendary hitman, Bret Hart.
13:23I'm walking to the Nassau Coliseum this Friday, and I know what I'm up against.
13:28I'm up against Yokozuna, 650 pounds of blob.
13:32And I know who's whispering in his ear. It's my lovable, rotten little brother, Owen.
13:37He's sitting there whispering all these things, trying to get his courage all built up.
13:40Because everybody knows, Yokozuna, that you don't have the guts to step in the ring with The Undertaker.
13:46The Undertaker is going to take you, Yokozuna, and he's going to show you what fear is.
13:51And as for me, I'm going to set my sights on my lovable brother, Owen.
13:56Owen, you've been a thorn in my sight for so long, I can't stand it.
14:00But you know, I've got you right in the middle of the ring.
14:03You bring Yokozuna, and I'll bring The Undertaker.
14:05And in Nassau Coliseum this Friday, we'll find out who is the toughest, the baddest, and the best.
14:12Now, is it just me, or do they seem to be totally ignoring the fact that can they trust their partner?

14:20I mean, if it was me, and I knew that my partner I was going to have to face a couple weeks later

14:28I'm not saying I wouldn't tag him, but I'm saying it might take me a little bit longer to reach out there and do it.

14:35because you had the opportunity to see this all live.

19:12And now he has begun a strange infatuation with Razor Ramon.
19:16At In Your House two weeks ago, Gold Dust, seated in a special section for the bad guy's match, has a special delivery for the bad guy.
19:23The bad guy tries his best to ignore him during his entrance.
19:38However, when Razor gets to the ring expecting his usual fireworks, somehow the bad guy gets a shower of Gold Dust instead, leaving everyone wondering what's going on between the bad guy and the bizarre one.
19:49You claim that you ooze machismo.
19:50Well, Chico, let's ooze it together.
19:56Oh, you remember the name of Gold Dust.

24:08He doesn't reappear until December, surprising everyone by showing up at In Your House, where
24:13Jerry Lawler presents Double J with a gold CD, commemorating 500,000 copies sold, and the
24:19typically brash Double J does not stop there.
24:22But I'm here to declare myself the very first participant in the 1996 Royal Rumble.
24:31And then during Ahmed Johnson's match, Double J verbally bashes Johnson, which Ahmed does
24:36not find to be constructive criticism.
24:40You are achy, breaking heart, wannabe, fake bull!
24:44Double J responds with a vicious attack, too brutal to even show you, using the plaque
24:49he just received in a chair.
24:51But when Ahmed gets up, it's Double J running for his life.
24:55Double J, Jeff Jarrett running from Ahmed Johnson.
24:58However, he's going to be caught at the Royal Rumble event.
25:02Now, of course, everybody remembers Double J thought he was going to be in the Royal Rumble
25:06match itself, one of 30 participants.
25:08And, of course, the winner of the Royal Rumble then goes on to WrestleMania to face the World
25:12Wrestling Federation Champion.
25:14Well, Double J now will not be in the Royal Rumble match.
25:17He'll be at the Royal Rumble event, thanks to Gorilla Monsoon's edict.
25:20And he's going to have to be facing Ahmed Johnson, Double J.
25:23And Double J doesn't like that.

25:25I feel bad for Double J.
25:26There's no reason that he should have to face Ahmed Johnson.
