00:08Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin announced on Tuesday, June 3,
00:12that the following courtesy resignations were declined by the president.
00:20Bersamin said the president accepted the resignations of Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor Chairman Maynard Sabile
00:27and Presidential Assistant for Visayas Terence Calatrava,
00:30while Presidential Advisor on Muslim Affairs Almarim Tilia was, quote, terminated.
00:36Tilia had earlier urged the president to sack special assistant to the president Antonio Lagdameo Jr.
00:42Bersamin also announced Frances Edrelin Lim's appointment as the Securities and Exchange Commission chairman,
00:47replacing Emilio Aquino, whose term will expire on June 5.
00:51Bersamin adds this is not the end of the president's cabinet revamp,
00:55as there will be a continuing performance evaluation.
00:58The fates of National Security Advisor Eduardo Año
01:01and Presidential Communications Office Secretary Jay Ruiz have yet to be announced.
