Cunha departs Wolves for Manchester United following Pereira’s “attitude” comments

00:00Manchester United have signed Wolves forward Matthias Cunha for around £62 million,

00:07with the Red Devils having triggered the release clause of the Brazilian,

00:11which was in his contract at Molineux.

00:13Previously, Wolves manager Vito Pereira had made clear just how important attitude is for the players at Wolves

00:20and how important it will be going forward for whoever comes in to replace Cunha in the forward line at Molineux.

00:27We have good connection.

00:32The meaning is because we are proud of ourselves and for sure they must be proud of our work,

00:47of the work of the team, the players.

00:51We can control our attitude on the pitch and we can lose a game,

00:56but we cannot lose our identity, cannot lose our spirit,

01:01we cannot lose our ambition, our mentality, our commitment,

01:07the start eleven and the players from the bench.

01:11And Aston Villa's Morgan Rodgers has praised his head coach Unai Emery

01:15for aiding Rodgers' development during the previous season.

01:19Yeah, massive. Every day, he'll never let me take a day off.

01:23He knows what I need to do and where I need to get to and he's always pushing me

01:28and I think a manager for that was perfect at the time I needed just that extra nudge.

01:33He also allows me to be me as well, which is a big one,

01:36which not all managers do, which is different to each manager,

01:38but he allows the players to show kind of what you're about

01:43and that's the most important thing for me.

01:45I'm allowed to be me and show what I'm about within the structure of the team

01:48and I think, yeah, it's working well and hopefully it continues.

01:51I think I'm different to a lot of players.

01:53Yeah, I love it.

01:53I think I'd rather come off after 60 minutes of not playing well,

02:00trying everything and it just not being my day

02:01as opposed to not trying anything and just kind of letting the game pass me by.

02:05I want to make sure that I leave everything out there

02:07and if it's not one of them days where it doesn't work, I'm happy with that.

02:10I'm one of them players that wants to take risks and be exciting

02:12and create chances for the team.
