00:00But Cade Horton. Cade Horton has been just all right for this team, I think. At Trevor Williams for the Washington Nationals, who don't look now, I think they're only five games out of the wild card in the NL. Let's give the Nats some love. And then at Jackson Jobe for the Tigers. While the Tigers may be good, Jobe has been a bit sketchy. Would you be starting Horton here?
00:20You know, tricky here. I think it's really on the fence for me. And I don't want to give Horton too much credit because he's only gone over six innings or two six innings one time so far this year. And it was his last start. And that was against the Rockies. So let's not get too in front of ourselves about Cade Horton, because in some of these other starts he's made so far, he's been okay. He's been competitive. The Nats are playing really good baseball right now. The Tigers are. Jobe probably not going to be there for that start.
00:48So you're in a spot now where you're looking ahead and saying, you know, can I get enough run support from the Cubs, which the answer inevitably seems to be yes. But both of these starts are on the road. If they were home, I might feel a little bit differently about them too. You know, sometimes a little easier for these kids to pitch at home. Sometimes it's more difficult. You know, we don't have a big enough sample size to know about Cade Horton yet. What I do know about Horton is this. He's a kid that's got some potential. Strikeout rate is not where you want it to be. I think that these are tenuous matchups. I think this is a
01:18AJ Smith-Sharver went on the IL. I need somebody to help plug in the spot. Okay. Two stars from Cade Horton. I think that's the situation. I am very split down the middle of this. I think this is a very situational one. This is not automatic at all for me, especially because the Nats have been playing better baseball recently. Certainly starting to hit to James Woods been red hot. So again, this is desperation. What's on the waiver wire? What the rest of, I'll tell you what, I'll put it to you this way. I'd rather start Cade Horton this week.
01:48For two starts and take my chances there than Sandy Alcantara one start against the Rockies. That's how low I am on Sandy Alcantara right now. Now, do you agree or disagree with that sentiment? I'm curious.
