00:00I'll start with the American League Rookie of the Year as we put our flag in the ground at the start of the season, at least on my end of the camera here.
00:07Jacob Wilson, he's the guy, minus 340.
00:09I think he's part of a fun team, and if you can stay up sort of late on the East Coast, you can catch this team.
00:15And they're just fun to watch, and they had a nice little fun wagering time.
00:19They're starting to normalize a little bit.
00:21But Jacob Wilson at the top seems to be the clear-cut winner.
00:25But, Joe, there is a name that, if he comes up and does a seemingly doable scenario, could return you, what was that, plus 3,500?
00:35Who's that?
00:36Yeah, it's Jack Caglione, who is just absolutely crushing everything that he sees.
00:43Double-A this year, 38 games.
00:44He had 322 with a 947 OPS, nine homers and 43 RBI.
00:49Okay, let's move him up to triple-A.
00:52Well, we moved him up to triple-A.
00:53His first 11 games of triple-A, 11 games, six homers, 13 RBI, hitting 326 with 1147 OPS.
01:01I think he's ready, boys and girls.
01:02I think you could see him as early as next week.
01:04He's playing the outfield now as well, so he's got an opportunity to move into that spot, and there's nobody to stop him, it doesn't seem like it.
01:12And, sure, he's got some strikeout in there, but he's got some power, and that's the one thing the Royals have really struggled with this year.
01:19There's been no line of protection for Bobby Witt, and that was something that Matt brought up time and time again.
01:22So, credit to Matthew Stryker.
01:25He was very skeptical of the Royals' line of protection of Bobby Witt, and it came to fruition.
01:29Sal Perez hasn't performed up to snuff.
01:31Pasquantino's been mid.
01:33So, Caglione, I think, is a difference maker, potentially, in this lineup, and I do think you're going to see him soon.
01:37Now, the question is, can he catch Jacob Wilson?
01:40And I think he can.
01:42I want to remind everybody that, you know, just a couple years ago, Gunnar Henderson was so bad that he was dropped in fantasy leagues, right?
01:49He was that bad.
01:50Got sent back down, came back, and he ended up winning Rookie of the Year that year in the American League.
01:55So, it's not always the guys that lead in April and May who end up winning this award.
01:58It's the ones that everybody remembers at the end.
02:01It's the strong finisher.
02:02So, if Caglione can be that strong finisher, that's great.
02:05Christian Campbell, just for reference, too, started off so well in April, a 301, 407, 495 slash in April.
02:15But in May, 134, 184, 171.
02:19I mean, those are just untenable numbers.
02:20Those are get-sent-down numbers.
02:22I know he's grabbing that first baseman's mitt, but, man, I get it.
02:25He's trying to do everything he can to stay relevant.
02:27I just don't know if he can.
02:28Marcelo Mayer's up.
02:30He's about the same as Caglione.
02:31So, is Roman Anthony, both at 3,500 right now.
02:34But I think Caglione is the one guy, from the betting market perspective, that there's still enough baseball left.
02:39And he comes up, and he hits 15, 20 home runs, and he helps carry that Royals team with that pitching into the playoffs.
02:46Then I think Caglione might be the story of Rookie of the Year in the American League.
