00:00Let's switch it over to the American League because what year is it?
00:03Is Sparky Anderson, the manager of the Detroit Tigers,
00:07they lead the American League at 46 wins,
00:11two and a half games clear of the New York Yankees,
00:13who are all losers of their past three games.
00:15Detroit Tigers have lost their past two as well,
00:17but still holding on up top, which is crazy.
00:19Followed by the Yankees, the Astros, and the Rays in the standings here.
00:22If we look at the odds, the Yankees at a 2-1 price here to win.
00:26You take a look at the Tigers, plus 290.
00:27The Astros, coming out of nowhere, it feels like here in 2025,
00:31after being, it feels like, buried early in the season,
00:33they're now in third place in the odds market at a 6-1 price.
00:36It feels really top-heavy right now, but the heaviest team, the Detroit Tigers.
00:42How about that?
00:44Listen, they were a very public vet preseason to run the tables
00:51and win the Central and win the pennant and yada, yada, yada.
00:55And the reality is, this team has been fortunate enough
00:59to have one of the weakest schedules to date, Donnie.
01:02And it's not their fault.
01:03You only play the teams that are in front of you.
01:05But the reality is, outside of Scooble, I'm not buying this Detroit team.
01:11And not even so much pitching-wise,
01:13I'm not buying them offensively either here.
01:16I think the Tigers are a sinking ship at some point.
01:19They will come back down to reality.
01:21I don't think they'll be there come September
01:24when we're talking about the top teams in the American League.
