Thousands raised for charity as hundreds turn out for Telford youth football tournament

00:00It's the first year of this tournament, the idea was brought up back in February between

00:15myself and Dave in a WhatsApp conversation. Since then we've had 53 teams enter the tournament

00:21and we've done it over two age groups, under eight and under nine, with some under sevens

00:25helping out and some under 10s helping too. And I think so far today we've raised just

00:30short of £4,000 or something? Yeah, £4,000 and the amount is still rising so great effort

00:35from the local businesses and local community in Telford.

00:41Really pleased, massive turnout all day, there was at one point today that we couldn't get

00:46any more people on site, people parking in the streets, so it's gone really well. Massive

00:51success, we're also welcoming down Sally Johnson and Chris Turton, we're going to represent

00:57our two charities, the Max Turton, sorry Papyrus and the Harry Johnson Trust, those are the

01:03charities we're going to be representing today.
