00:00The best pitcher in the American League, probably in baseball.
00:03I mean, is there any debate, really, at this point?
00:05Dariq Skubal, who won the Cy Young Award, is going to probably win it again.
00:08The American League's favorite to win against Michael Wacca coming up later today.
00:13And then on Sunday, the Tigers will start Kyder Montero against Chris Bubik.
00:18The Tigers have the best record in the American League, George, on the strength of their pitching.
00:24What's interesting about Detroit, George, you know, I think they're probably going to have a really good year.
00:29It was my pick to win the World Series.
00:31I mean, I don't know if that's going to happen.
00:32But, you know, you know what I think is going to happen, George, after the year?
00:35All of the staff of the Tigers, like their pitching staff, their bench staff, I think they're all going to get jobs next year.
00:42Because usually when a team like this takes this big a step, you credit a lot of the coaching in front office.
00:49All right.
00:50So, listen, that's good.
00:51And I hope that does happen for them.
00:53I think Joe went on the IL, right, speaking of their pitching here.
00:56You're right about Skubal, by the way.
00:57And, by the way, you and I probably both sort of screwed him.
01:01Or maybe the segment screwed him because of the way it's worded here.
01:04But, remember, he had a great start, his last start.
01:07But neither one of them put him on as our ace of the week because that start was on Sunday.
01:10So it was after our Saturday show.
01:12But, you know, depending on how you look at it, not this week.
01:14We probably looked from Monday on.
01:15We didn't include Sunday.
01:16But he was – I mean, what was his last pitch, 102?
01:19I mean, this guy's fantastic.
01:21What a – I mean, just wow.
01:23So I certainly wish I had him in more fantasy leagues.
01:26And I got to wonder, is he going to be a first-round pick next year?
01:29You know, because I don't like taking pitches in the first round.
01:31But I do wonder if he'll be a first-round pick in fantasy.
01:34But he's been great.
01:35Locke has been so-so.
01:38He must have been another guy.
01:39Bubik, by the way.
01:41Where did this guy come from?
01:42You know, he's pitching very well for Kansas City also.
01:45Right?
01:45Seth Lugo, by the way, came back last night for the Royals.
01:48And, once again, did not pitch well.
01:49First start from IL.
01:50This is why I don't like starting guys when they first go back in the IL.
01:53Last night's pretty much, you know, example A there.
01:56But Bubik, fantastic for the Royals.
02:00I think today's game, if I'm not mistaken, between the Rockies and the Mets,
02:05I think this is the biggest money line of the season in Major League Baseball.
02:11I think this is it.
02:12I'm pretty sure.
02:14Kodai Senga and the Mets are minus 450, George, in a single baseball game.
02:21Against the Colorado Rockies.
02:23I think this is it.
02:24I saw, like, 4-10 a couple games when they played the Yankees and stuff.
02:28But I have not seen a minus 450 in a single baseball game this season.
02:33And this is it.
02:34So Senga against the Rockies.
02:35And then on Sunday, left-handed pitcher Carson Palmquist starts for the Rockies.
02:42His ERA is 8.
02:43He's actually been really good in the minors.
02:45I've heard of this guy.
02:46But the line tomorrow will not be minus 450.
02:50It'll be, like, minus 370 or something like that tomorrow.
02:54But, George, I mean, I wonder what the single biggest line is in an individual baseball game in the last, like, 10 years.
03:01This feels like it's as close as it can be.
03:03I've never seen minus 500 for one game in baseball, ever.
03:09Once again, I'll take the field.
03:11I'm sure there has been no game, but I don't remember it either.
03:13I got 420 right now.
03:15So a little weird that in New York we get a better price than you.
03:18You would think in New York it would be even higher, more Mets fans.
03:20All right, betting the game.
03:22Listen, betting-wise, you can't bet that.
03:24You can put it in a parlay, probably a three-way parlay, just to get plus money, if that's what you're looking for.
03:28Even the run line, by the way, Craig, is minus 182.
03:33And that's nuts, too.
03:35And, by the way, I've seen higher run lines.
03:36I saw a minus 190 earlier this week because I was complaining about it.
03:39Obviously, I wanted to bet it, and I could not.
03:41So it is what it is here with the Mets.
03:44The car is terrible.
03:45All right, what was that little headline we had?
03:46They're searching for their 10th win.
03:48They've been searching for a week now.
03:49So we'll see.
03:50I don't see it coming this weekend.
03:52I think Sagan does great.
03:54Clay Holmes does great.
03:55And, you know, hey, we know what's going to happen.
03:56My only question is, do the Mets score some runs here for us, fantasy-wise?
04:00The Mets have been great pitching all year long.
04:02They haven't hit like we thought they were going to hit.
04:04It's not just Juan Soto.
04:05They're struggling with runners in scoring position.
04:07Mets 28th in baseball, runners in scoring position.
