00:00It is game number six of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Pacers and the Knicks.
00:05JY, Indiana, a three-and-a-half-point early favorite for game number six,
00:10and a total now at 218 for the over-under on the FanDuel Sportsbook.
00:15Game six, the Pacers with an outright win advance to the NBA Finals
00:19with an outright victory for New York on the road as an underdog,
00:23forcing a game seven back inside the world's most famous arena.
00:27JY, the Knicks stave off elimination last night,
00:31but tell us for tomorrow night what happens in game number six.
00:35Well, that total coming down to 217 and a half tells you what it's going to be,
00:39and they expect the Knicks to kind of rinse and repeat their formula
00:42of trying to make this a half-court game,
00:44and I think that's what you're going to see.
00:46They're going to dare Indiana to win the game in the half-court.
00:50Now, the key is going to be watching, obviously, the turnover,
00:52especially live ball turnovers by the Knicks,
00:54especially someone like Josh Hart, who was really, really bad
00:57in game four, much, much better in game five.
01:00Do the Knicks fall into the trap?
01:02It's very simple, folks.
01:04If you think this game is going over, then you're probably going with Indiana.
01:07If you think it's going under, you're going with the Knicks.
01:10It's just the recipe of two contrasting styles.
01:13The interesting thing to look at, guys, is first quarter points.
01:17Jalen Brunson was in his absolute bag last night.
01:21His over-under for the first quarter, I think, is at eight and a half points,
01:24but I'm going to go the other way.
01:27I'm going to go Cat.
01:28It's only four and a half points, and it's at plus 126.
01:32He will get off to a slow start because I'll let Brunson get going early.
01:36I think Cat has found something.
01:37When he starts to drive the ball and you spread the floor,
01:39he should be able to get an open three pretty quickly.
01:42Carl Anthony Towns over four and a half points in the first quarter
01:46at plus 126 on FanDuel right now.
01:49Yeah, if I'm looking at game number six, too, forget it from the side perspective,
01:52I do think the Pacers win this game, same way I thought the New York Knicks
01:55would win in game number five, but the under does make some sense,
01:57not because we don't know what the pace of play is going to be,
02:00but referees usually understand the assignment late in the series.
02:03Let the players figure this one out.
02:04Now, granted, you're not going to get away with nonsense fouls,
02:06but the ticky-tack fouls and the hand checks up at the top of the key,
02:10they'll let those go through, which makes it a little bit harder to score,
02:12which brings me to my next point here, Coach.
02:15Jalen Brunson, 31 and a half points as his total.
02:18He got 32 in game number five.
02:19Again, he had some performances in the first quarter, Coach,
02:22which I thought he was going 40-plus, 50-plus points here.
02:24Cooled down the second quarter, heated back up in the third.
02:27You take a look at Tyrese Halliburton, who had a terrible game, per se,
02:30in game number five, 20 and a half points here.
02:32How are you playing the big guys here at the point guard position
02:35for both of these teams?
02:37Well, listen, for Indiana, for them, for Halliburton,
02:40it's got to be about the assists more than the points.
02:42If I'm Indiana, though, I'm saying that I can't let Brunson get off early.
02:48That's why you look at someone like Kat to play better.
02:51Also, look at the fact that OG and Anobi did not shoot the ball well.
02:53I think two of 10 from the floor last night.
02:55Maybe it gives you a better performance.
02:57Here's the thing.
02:58If they are going to let you play, Donnie, and you're right,
03:02they're probably going to stay out of it,
03:04this benefits New York because they're going to be able to play more physical
03:08like they did last game.
03:10So, to me, it comes down to this.
03:12Does Indiana match the intensity?
03:15What do they do with Handel for Brunson?
03:17Do they blow it up by saying two people?
03:20If you're Indiana, get the ball out of Brunson's hands
03:23and make other people beat you.
03:24If you're in New York, if you let Tyrese Halliburton go off,
03:27but he can't get other people going because there's not a lot of guys
03:30that can create their shot and maybe Pascal, that's the recipe.
03:33But if you're talking about half-court basketball, physical basketball,
03:36that's going to benefit the Knicks.
03:38Jalen Brunson, a game-high 32 points last night.
03:41His 10th performance in this postseason with at least 30,
03:45the most for a single New York Knick in a single postseason
03:48in NBA playoff history.
03:50As we look at the supporting staff, JY, you mentioned OG and an OB.
03:54Carl Anthony Towns, two consecutive games north of this points prop
03:58at 22.5.
04:00And Pascal Siakam, the only guy in the starting five for Indiana last night,
04:04reaching double figures.
04:05He had 15 of the six guys on that list whose performance in game six
04:11is most important to the outcome tomorrow night.
04:14It's Carl Anthony Towns.
04:16Because when he decides – listen, I hate to say this about a guy in the playoffs.
04:21Ben, when he decides to play and he decides to take the ball to the basket
04:25and play more inside out and have the ability to drive,
04:29it opens up his three-point shot.
04:31When he drives to the basket, Siakam can't stop him.
04:35He's too small.
04:36Turner can't stop him.
04:38Not physical enough.
04:39And there's no one on the bench can do it.
04:41Here's the thing.
04:43Can the Knicks win with – you know, with Brunson going under 30 points?
04:47Yes.
04:47Can they win with Carl Anthony Towns getting under 20 points?
04:50The answer's no.
