00:00Maybe. I mean, I tend to write love songs. I don't tend to like to listen to love songs, to be completely honest.
00:07And I always like trying to put out the songs that I would want to listen to.
00:12So I'm sure there's going to be love songs that come out.
00:15I mean, obviously, that's an easy one to write for me.
00:18Megan is one of the best things that's ever happened to me in my life, so I'm very thankful for her.
00:23But yeah, I think I'm probably still going to write some sad songs.
00:26I mean, they might be just coming from other people's perspective.
00:31No, because I feel like people that are coming to my shows and people that listen to my music have kind of leaned on those songs.
00:39And I feel like it's helping them through tough times.
00:41And I've always wanted to do that with my music.
00:43If there's something that someone can lean on and feel like they can kind of claim for themselves, the more power to them.
00:50That's what I hope I'm able to do for them.
00:52Stapleton is number one for me. I really think so.
00:55The more and more that I just see, or the more music that he puts out, the more I'm just like, man, he can do no wrong.
01:01Like that last record he did was probably one of my favorites.
01:05So I would love to just get a chance to sing with him one day.
01:08And yeah, we'll see if we can make it happen.
01:10I definitely wouldn't have imagined that that would have started this whole career.
01:15And I guess my biggest takeaway was I met so many songwriters that were on that show and that were from Nashville.
01:23And I was like, man, I didn't even know that was a real job.
01:26How can I like come to Nashville and stuff?
01:28So I started traveling to Nashville right after that show.
01:31And that's when I started kind of dipping my feet in the music industry and was like, man, I didn't even know this existed.
01:36And luckily I made the trek and moved here because I couldn't imagine doing anything else now.
