Kelly Bensimon Opens Miami Swim Week at 57

00:00There's so many wonderful things going on, including this opening of Miami Swim Week.

00:06Tell us about how this came about and how you are kind of preparing for this.

00:10So thank you so much, Christine. I love seeing you as always. Hi, IAS Magazine. Love you guys.

00:17So first of all, thank you. This is such a huge honor to be walking in Swim Week.

00:23You know, I thought I keep retiring from modeling and I keep coming back. I'm like, I am old.

00:30By the way, why am I always coming back? But I really, really appreciate it.

00:36So it's so much fun because Melissa and Odebosch and I have been friends for a long, long time.

00:40And, you know, she's dressed everyone in swimsuits from Sports Illustrated Models, Elle McPherson, Elizabeth Hurley.

00:49The list goes on. I mean, she's such an iconic, iconic bikini designer.

00:53And she was a bikini model herself. And we are very, very close friends.

00:57And our girls are really, really close. And so I'm just so excited to walk into her show.

01:03It's the 25th anniversary. So the silver time is for her.

01:08And she's just such a great, beautiful, beautiful human.

01:11And she makes women smoking hot on the beach.

01:16And one thing that I love about her is that her designs are not only designs that I love to wear,

01:22but my daughters love to wear. And so if I'm wearing it, my daughters are stealing it.

01:27You know, you know, you have a great brand.

01:29I mean, what would you say at 57, like opening up the show? What does that mean to you?

01:33At 57 to be opening up a show? I'm super nervous. I'm super, super nervous.

01:38I, you know, I haven't walked in a show in a long time.

01:41And I, this isn't like walking in a show. This is walking in my best friend's show.

01:46So I'm really, really nervous because I want to do, you know, the best for her.
